not great

Pros: the condition and cleanliness
Cons: the terrible service from everyone we encountered except one man.
Location: Orlando near restaurants on I drive and about a 10 minute drive to the Magic Kingdom.
I have stayed in 5 star resorts and hotels all over the world so maybe I expected too much from the Gaylord Orlando. First, the man who met me at my car was very friendly and helpful. It was 11:30 at night and we had just left Disney with 5 and 7 year old daughters so when the first guy asked if I wanted help with my bags I said yes as well as yes to valet parking. His words exactly were "We are a full service hotel so we will take care of everything". When he ushered me to the valet parking loop I was met by another man with a luggage cart. I opened the tailgate of my SUV and stood there as the bellhop stared at me holding the cart. My wife and I proceeded to unload our car to the luggage cart while the bellhop stood there holding it. We got our sleeping daughters and carried them in and was told our bags would be waiting for us in our room. We were given a bad attitude by the girl checking us in but just shook it off because it was late. We finally got to our room and our bags were not there. I tried calling the bellhop from our room phone but it rang for at least 2 minutes and no one picked up the phone. I then called the front desk and was told it would be 30 minutes until we saw our bags. Keep in mind it is now midnight and we can't even brush our teeth or put our daughters in pajamas. I waited a few more minutes, got my shoes on and we down to the lobby, found my bags and carried them up myself. Nothing major, just disappointed. Will not stay here again.

Overall nice stay

Location: For the most part not a lot or improvement needs to be given. Just a little more curious. Thank you for the nice day
I found the place to be a really nice hotel with a really better than expected gym. Food was good and the breakfast buffet was spectacular. The only room for improvement is the concierge. Although in the morning there was two girls there they were very accommodating the one that was there the night of Wednesday was not at all as a matter fact I had to go to the front desk to ask my questions and the bell hops. And I would have to give this a 9 out of 10 for the price. I rented two rooms and there was 4 of us and we were all happy overall

Worst experience ever!

This past weekend we took our daughter here. What a BAD BAD idea. We will never step foot or spend another dollar at Gaylord Palms in Orlando. After checking in, my husband went to the bathroom so I asked for a luggage cart...they brought it, however stood there while I unloaded my truck while holding my crazy 3 year old & they just watched. THEN, snatched the cart away telling us they'll bring our stuff up in an hour or two. Unacceptable. We carried our own bags. I requested a manager call me. No call Saturday... No call Sunday. We spent over $800 in a 1 night stay. Not to mention the problem they gave me on Sunday when we rented a cabana for the day....(that is a whole different can of worms). Needless to say a manager called me Monday at 7:30pm with an "I'm sorry".

Great stay!

Had a blast and it is a beautiful hotel. My only complaint would be the fee for parking and resort fee are too high for a daily fee.

Hallway showing its age, carpet stained. During the busy holiday portion of our stay, staff seemed to have trouble keeping up with cleaning... Hallways needed swept desperately when we arrived. Although our beds and bathroom were clean, our room carpet was full of food crumbs and definitely had not been swept prior to our arrival. Once the holiday traffic subsided and the rooms weren't all booked, the cleaning staff was better able to keep up. Hallways were much more presentable. The front desk definitely had issues answering the phone. Overall though, it's a very nice hotel. Of note, check your bill prior to departure, we had been double billed for parking and valet although we never used the valet service.

Show and restaurants

The resort Christmas decorations were amazing. My stay was Christmas Eve very festive. The ICE experience brought tears to my eyes. There an excellent performance by an accapella group. I'm from central Florida. So to have such a treasure as close as a 30 minutes drive. Thanks Travelocity for the affordable stay.

It was impossible to find your way around in this

Pros: The atrium was nice
Cons: almost everything
Location: Disney and Orlando attratcations.
spent most of our time trying to find the elevators that serve our room staff except for a few notable exception were not help[ful. Repairs were underway and block the way to some of the rooms adding to the confusion.
