Great hotel but not a smoke free place
The hotels seems like it changed management and its in the transition of remodeling little by little, and for good, the only things I honestly don't like its the smoking, like every where you go, people don't understand and don't care about the children and that its a family hotel, they SHOULD designate and area just for smokers, also the lighting in the room at night its very poor, half of family suite was dark, I just guessed its part of the remodeling because I know in the past 5 times we've stayed there was more lighting, other than that we had a great time we still going to come back, they should really do something about the smoking because the smell of cigarette has become the distinctive smell of Flamingo hotel

Difficulties with checking in as Hotels.com did not provide any update regarding a problem with my payment method and our reservation had been cancelled and thankfully a room was still available after driving 10 hours it would have been a disaster. The water park area needs heating for the time of year and the heated pool was not a temperature that felt heated in the least. Outside temperature was really good but the water was intensely cold and not comfortable for enjoyment including the lazy river. The signage related to towels could be worded better because it comes across as very unwelcoming in addition to a price list that is unbelievably overpriced. No one is available to get “pool towels “ day or night. The rooms need serious updating they are extremely dated the closet smelled like death. The food pantry is very overpriced and the restaurant was not open. It could be an amazing place but management or ownership is not keeping up and making the place more appealing and renovating seems very snails paced. Parking to be closer to your room and building difficult not clearly marked when first arriving and unloading. Very much needs ownership more focused on putting priorities on getting the place up to date and warm the water in both places more comfortable temperatures if you are going to be open and suggest temps appropriate for relaxed and pleasantly enjoyable

It was a very nice property. It was a very nice day we had. However they overcharge for everything on their property. When you buy a six dollar drink at happy hour they will also charge you two dollars extra whether you’re using a card or paying with cash plus the tax, you have to have a credit card to use any other areas in their facility only the tiki bar takes cash. There was a complete language barrier. The property is owned by Spanish people which is not a problem, but they do not understand us, and we could not understand them, which made it very complicated. There was police officers there for disruption of children between two other guests that were staying there a lot of the children were very rough there and we’re not Supervised by parents. I tend to always keep my children with an eyes view so we were able to watch them with no problem but as far as sending your child off to play and expect them to be safe, I would do it.

This resort was very old and dated. We could never find the ice maker and several other guess could not as well. It looked like a motel and I wouldn’t recommend it or stay there again!

Our room had a smell to it, and it felt more like a motel. The staff in general was very nice. The water park looks worn but my kids really enjoyed it. The water park is suppose to open at 10am but the slides wouldn’t open till hours later till they had life guards on duty. The Tiki bar charged me 19$ for a vodka and cranberry. I was shocked at the prices for alcohol. I’m not sure if I will book again or not.

Water park was nice for little ones but we got a room with a hot tub and it was dirty. Turned hot tub on and all types of stuff starting spitting out of the jets. Other then that it was ok
