First off, Travelocity overbooked the 3 bedroom cottage with 1 king bed 2 queen beds and 1 pull out couch with a private hot tub that I had reserved. So when I arrived they informed me that the room was no longer available and they did not have one with the same amenities nor could they upgrade my stay. Instead, they put me in a 3 bedroom cottage with no hot tub and 3 queen sized beds. They said the best that they could do was offer a $100 refund for the lack of a hot tub. To make matters worse, at 9AM on our second day they called to tell me that maintenance would need to enter the cottage at 10 AM to repair something. They did not offer to reschedule the maintenance or anything. We arrived at 10pm, they had plenty of time to sort all of that out before our arrival or at the very least they could have waited until nobody was staying there. Very loud and obnoxious to have someone coming in and banging on stuff with a hammer when you would like to sleep in during the vacation you already paid so much money for and was already off to a bad start. Then about two hours later another maintenance person came in to work on something else with no warning. Awesome! Such a shame considering that the property was nice, and it was quite expensive. I definitely will not be back. A $100 refund when I was stuck with something that was of much less value than I paid for felt like a slap in the face.
