"Good location for price."
10-15 min walk to beach. Kitchen includes stove, minifridge, pots, pans, etc. Close to: food pantry ($5.52/gal milk), McDonalds (Qtr lb meal + 6 piece nugget meal $20 w/pineapple cup), California Pizza atmosphere, good, affordable. Close also to bus stop and shopping. Some places don't have public restrooms or offer free drink refills. Not on daylight savings. Shuttle service offers limited range and has long waits. Kuhio Street had building construction and loud noise from next door bar.

"Best Trip Ever!"
One of the reasons we love this hotel is because we are always treated like family. Thank you to Mike Nakada, Roland, Evelyn Alanda and Lawrence. They were all very helpful and attentive. The reason we return. Chuck and the beach services staff are friendly and accommodating on the best beach on Waikiki. It is so relaxing just to sit and enjoy the view. The tower view of the ocean and Diamond Head is amazing. The sunset is beautiful. We love the historic section of this hotel, but the tower is a fun change of pace. We absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Oahu. It is peaceful and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Mahalo to our Hawaiian family.

"Beautiful old hotel. Pity about the queue. "
This is a beautiful old hotel right on the beach in Waikiki. Most is good - including location, hotel and rooms. Only negatives are: * Huge queues for check in and check out (they really need more front desk staff). After a long flight its torture. * Rooms are tight on the small size. Maybe to be expected for old hotel. Note to management: Fix the bug in express check out to allow people entitled to late checkout to express check out. If you are having staffing problems as you obviously are, this would help.

"Very good location close to the beach"
The hotel is average. Don't expect to dive and swim at the pool because you will be disappointed. Be prepared to pay $20/day for a parking space as big as a box of matches. The view to the city was good and location was convenient.

"Aqua Oasis stay"
This was a very pleasant experience. The hotel on Lewers St. is near all the action. The staff was great especially the valets. The room was comfy, great bed, pillows, showers. Cont. Bkfst acceptable but nothing special. They had this cute little garden off the lobby where you can smoke your cigar, complete with waterfall and koi pond. We will stay here again as overall it was great value for money spent.
