Our first night was bad. We cannot sleep because of the constant banging of the balcony door due to strong wind. We can hear the wind all night and made us awake all night. We were transferred to the lower floor on the 2nd day, when we started to at least have a better sleep until we checked out. Thanks to Grace at the Front Desk who tried her best to give us a better room! I think Hyatt Regency should make a review of the hotel structures in particular to the windows and doors specially at the high-rise rooms.

Rooms, staff and location were great! Only small little thing was sometimes the elevators can take a little and not a lot of laundry machines for how big the resort is.

Staff were excellent. We had a city facing room. Very comfortable beds, quiet and cozy. The hotel was open air with two towers and plenty of options for shopping. Conveniently located close to the beach and restaurants. Additional shopping and hotels to explore.

Fantastic hotel. Had the partial ocean view and honestly that was the best. I could see a lot of the ocean, diamond head volcano, city and mountains. Also was on a nice high 34th floor. Gorgeous spectacular views. Balcony was nice to spend time. Best part is it is closest to Waikiki beach (right across) so just walk over evenings and view sunsets. Parking is extra at $65/d so it’s expensive. Hotel resort fee is also $60/d but that’s a govt tax supposedly. The staff are friendly and nice. They cleaned the rooms well daily and made bed perfectly. The bath has an anti slip mat too for older people. However the bathroom door doesn’t lock. There’s no microwave either which was a bummer. They give you custom water bottles which is a runners bottle so you can fill up water at the common ice machine on every floor. Works for me to keep it plastic reduced. Overall great hotel and great experience. Best place to be as everything is close by from eating to shopping to tourist spots and beach access is amazing across the duke surfer statue. The pool is great but barely anyone were there. There’s plenty of good eateries in the hotel (Kai coffee was great) and things to do. Family friendly, great views and memorable week spent there. Best place

Sorely in need of a refresh. Not worth $300+/ night. Our room 2902 Ewa tower was run down and dirty and should not be in the pool of active rooms. I wouldn’t stay in that room at half the price! Bath tub was delaminated and felt like would it break. Minimal hot water. Fixtures visibly worn. Outlets near the bed didn’t work. The walls were covered in grime and scuffs. They painted the peeling wallpaper with flat blue paint - should have at least sprung for satin so they could clean it. The bed skirts were stained. The sheets were stained. The furniture was chipped and ragged. The elevators in the ewa tower were not all working resulting and long, long waits. Keeping the place clean should be a bare minimum- at any price point. Aside from the poor maintenance- the pool is small- as in only ok for a few small kids at a time. The beach (only reason to stay here) is easy walk and of course great access to food and shops. We did not eat at the hotel. The staff were all nice but powerless/resigned to the condition hotel owners choose to keep things. We did get another room after 2 days since we complained in online survey. Little better condition as the staff told us but at least a new view.BTW- Beware Hertz rental in hotel as after 4pm return is impossibly difficult and hours long affair. Our family was really excited to visit Hawaii and it was a special trip despite the room. Will definitely be back to Waikiki- but will need to find another hotel given our bleh Hyatt experience.
