We loved our stay at the Outrigger Kona. The resort was stunning and so well maintained and clean. The pool was perfect and not over crowded. Great access to chairs and shade. Parking was easy and convenient. My only slight complaint was with the food around the pool. The selection was minimal, cost was way too high and they were always delivered in huge paper bags that just seemed a waste. Nothing to ruin an otherwise fabulous stay. We felt location was convenient to everything however that means a drive to everything including food. Food options nearby were incredible as well.

We made a mistake in booking and tried to fix it the day of. Both Expedia and the hotel came through and gave us a refund. It was very helpful. Also the hotel is very environmentally conscious and have a lot of neat ideas.

Overall very nice! Lobby was gorgeous. They are doing some construction in some outdoor parts, so didn’t get the full experience of their grounds. Rooms and pool areas were nice. Wait staff at pools would have been a nice option. Food and drinks at the pool bar were a little lackluster for the price. I didn’t eat at the restaurants. All staff was sooooo nice and helpful! Kona is a lovely little village with lots of good eateries.

Was very underwhelmed. This was just a regular Hyatt with a higher sticker price. Staff were average if not below average. Also, no spa? It was a resort “and spa” and couldn’t get a massage on site which was very odd. You’d be better saving your money staying elsewhere and getting pretty much the same experience. The rooms were clean and the views were great. Otherwise, not much to jump up and down about. Restaurant and the little store on site close pretty early which made the evening arrival kind of difficult.

We had such a wonderful stay here with our two kids. We loved the free water bottles that you can always refill and the backpacks, they came in handy for our beach and hike days. The room we stayed in was beautiful, with gorgeous views and the lanai was so spacious. The kids loved the pool, Outrigger’s grounds were so lush and beautiful and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. We would definitely come back again.
