Peaceful and close to everything

Pros: Small and quiet
Cons: A small gym would have been nice to have
Location: Across from a park with a walking path.
This is a small hotel that was far enough away from the tourist section but close enough to get to everything. The staff was wonderful and valet parking was so helpful.

My Dream Vacation

I had planned this trip for years and when researching hotels The Lotus had mixed reviews but there was just something about it that kept me coming back to think about booking there. I am so glad I stuck with my instincts. This hotel is amazing. It may not be right in the middle of everything but that's what made it perfect. The room I had was beautiful. From check in to checkout the staff was so nice and always made sure we had water for hydration and tips on things to see and do. Great great place. I will be back.

A wonderful vacation stay!

The Lotus is located at the tail end of the Waikiki beach so you can walk to any number of restaurants and shopping, but because it's not right there in the middle of things it is more peaceful and quiet. The hotel is relatively small, but the rooms are large and clean and bright. Apparently it had been redone recently, and yes, everything is in wonderful shape. The service was wonderful. By the second day, all the people at the desk and valet parking knew our names and quickly took care of anything we asked. The hotel is not directly on the beach, but it took us two minutes to walk through a couple of buildings to get to a small comfortable beach that was always open and never crowded. I will definitely book our next stay at the Lotus.

A precious break from the busy-ness of Waikiki.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
My husband and I spit our Honolulu vacation - half at a good hotel on Waikiki and remaining days at the Aqua Lotus. It was exactly what we needed. In late afternoon, after visiting historical sites and shopping, we returned to the Aqua Lotus where bottles of wine for guests were placed in the small lobby, in a beautiful, quiet setting. We'd each pour a glass and return to our Asian decor-inspired room, kick off our shoes, while enjoying the view of Diamond Head from our patio. Service from every employee was always friendly. This "special, unique" hotel was a great break from the crowds and high energy of Waikiki Beach, although only a 10-15 minute walk away.

Nice hotel away from the noise, in a park setting with great staff.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, in a beautiful park, attentive staff, on the beach
I was there a week. The hotel is small so you really get to know the staff, who are friendly, attentive and accommodating, . The room was larger and nicer than other hotels. You are a short walk away from Waikiki, but not in he middle of it. I appreciated the location in the middle of the park . The only small thing that felt odd was that the hotel seemed designed to create a zen feeling, but the TV playing in the lobby was an unwanted distraction. I would stay here again.

This Hotel was wonderful. A real Gem that was so close to Wakiki without the downtown feel

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, free coffee in am, free wine in afternoon
Cons: no breakfast offerings
The Aqua Lotus was an excellent choice for our stay in Wakiki. So close to everything; it offered us beautiful views from our room and was in an ideal location for us to swim, run, walk, etc...

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great views
This hotel sits a little bit off of the main Waikiki strip so it is more comfortable and quiet than the other hotels. The staff at this hotel made us feel very welcome and were eager to help us with anything we needed from simple directions around town to extra towels for the beach. They even have beach chairs to lend out for free. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything looks brand new. We stayed in the permium ocean view room on the 12th floor and the views outside our lanai were incredible! While it is true there are a couple of hotels that somewhat block your view of the ocean, you can still get a good view of it, and the view of Diamondhead is awe-inspiring. The location is great, the zoo, aqarium, and the strip are all within easy walking distance of the hotel if you don't feel like driving. And there is a huge park across the street if you like to do any other activities. They do charge $20 a day for valet parking, but I think it is worth it not to have to find a place to park, you're on vacation relax a bit. In closing, I would definitely stay at the Aqua Lotus again!!! Thanks to all of the staff for making our vacation very enjoyable.

Excellent Choice

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I spent many hours researching a hotel for my visit and I could not have decided on a better place. The rooms are newly renovated: attractive, inviting, spacious, elegant furnishings. Incredibly comfy beds, lots of counter space and did I say comfy beds? THe best thing about this hotel is the staff, though. The valets are all smiley, friendly, extremely knowledgable, helpful and quick to suggest ideas and make sure you have directions. The hotel is in the middle of the large park at the end of Waikiki, next to Diamondhead. A quick walk to the shops and restaurants and a lovely quiet reprieve from the chaos on the strip. While there isn't a restaurant or pool on site, the beach and many delicious choices are close by. Oh and the freebies! Towels, chairs, bikes with helmets and locks, wine in the evening. You will not regret staying here.

cozy and serene

Pros: Quiet
Nestled between the ocean, this hotel is beautiful and wonderfully maintained. Restaurants are a walk away -- but the convenience store outside the neighboring hotel is a lifesaver.
