Upon checkin we were put in an "upgraded" room. The thought was good, but they assumed we would be okay with one bed, vs two. The reservation was for a 2-bed room with an ocean view. The new room had 1 bed and an uncomfortable sofa pullout bed. This was a mother-son vacation!

The location was great and staff were friendly. In our 8 night stay over the holidays we got room attendance twice and they left us zero TP on the second service (even took the small roll remaining). The beds were lumpy and towels old. The third elevator was broken causing jams over new years. The sliding balcony slider didn’t open but there was no patio furniture anyway. I asked for ocean facing with balcony bc I was traveling with autistic teen daughter who didn’t want to be in the crowds but wanted the view for new years fireworks etc. There was no chair to sit in the room and the lobby seating was also very flat and lumpy like the beds. They did provide local info when asked and provided ample sunscreen products. The Japanese restaurant inside was very authentic and nice. They have the prime location to alter the roof of the restaurant into an open air dance floor overlooking the strip and beach, which would be perfect for future new years eve events. Overall it was very expensive for the value and I wont stay there again. There are many other choices.

Based on my experience, I was surprised by the positive reviews for this hotel. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. While the furniture was dated, the larger issue was the overall condition and cleanliness of the room. The carpet was old, stained, and in poor condition, and the room had a strong musty odor. It did not appear that the room had been thoroughly cleaned or well maintained. There were also several maintenance and cleanliness concerns. The in-room safe did not function, the microwave was dirty, and the toilet would not flush unless the tank mechanism was manually maneuvered from within the toilet tank. There was also what looked to be dried mucus on the lamp shades. Both my husband and I reported these issues to hotel management. After speaking with management a second time, we were offered a refund of one night of amenity fees. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its proximity to the beach. Guests who prioritize cleanliness and functional accommodations will want to stay elsewhere in Waikiki.

The rooms aren’t what the site states and are so outdated! The whole hotel/resort is so terrible and rundown. I paid way too much to stay at something like this. This place is more like a motel 6. The front staff and lulu was the best thing about the resort. The carpet in room and outside our room was ripped or missing section, the curtains where torn and very dirty, the tub that was supposed to be a walk in shower would back up with water and the handle was broken and wouldn’t pull all the way up for the shower. Iron didn’t work, ironing board was broken, balcony was very dirty and looked like it hasn’t been clean in some time. The elevator was always dirty and took forever to get to and from your room so had to take stairs 75% of the time. The beach rental stuff that was apart of the resort would always be out of chairs, body boards or you wasn’t allowed to check umbrella out cause they said the wind was to high which every other place was renting them out but ours.

Great staff! Fantastic location. Room was clean and functional. Overall though, the amenities were lack luster. Why am I paying resort fees for the same amenities a best western or holiday inn provide? For beach towels and chair rental next door? We used those each once during our stay. Even if we used it each day it wouldnt justify the almost $500 in resort fees we paid.. .

The hotel is in a great location right across from beach it is and older property and is showing its age. The stafff is friendly and try to be helpful if you ask them for something. The room had a musty smell and the AC fan is loud and runs continuously. The sheets on one of the beds in my room were stained it also seems that the the Hotels.com guests are placed onto the lower floors without limited beach view probably due to the lower rates we are paying. You will need to request a coffee maker if you want one for your room upon check in but they do offer free coffee in lobby each morning. The parking is super expensive at 54.00 per night along with resort fees of more than $50.00 per day but still less than some other properties near by. They are trying to do a good job they will just will need to keep making property improvements to get it back to what it once was years ago. If you just need a place to stay right near the beach at an affordable cost it works out for the budget compared to other properties near by.

Very close to the beach! Free beach yoga classes on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7am were excellent! Being able to rent beach gears (e.g., beach chairs, parasols, and paddle boards for free was an unexpected plus for us! More than anything, this hotel was the perfect location for Honolulu Marathon, because it was right across from the finish line!

Average amenities: shampoo, conditiiner, body wash, microwave, kurig with 2 pods...i dont do coffee nor like the plastic pids, fridge, hair dryer. No shower cap. Arrival: charged for fees, hopefully i get it back, they chsrge $500 fee if you smoke or vape in the room. If you have a car its $52.00 per night. Thats not anywhere on this platform. While checking in everyone was professional and nice , however if you need the bathroom its on the 2nd floor and you need a hotel key card. Mine didn't work. Theyve got umbrellas you can use, ask at the desk. We had an ocean view room. Carpet always felt wet, and it was dirty. I had to wash my feet even after showers bc that carpet was dirty. Whens the last time they washed it? Nice breeze through the sliding doors, nice pillows, mattress was soft. Lots of noise at night but not bad during the day. Checkout was easy. Valet parking. I asked one employee where the nearest gas station is and he told me to ask at the desk. I mean..up the street, around the corner??? Ask someone else. What a guy.

Great views and fantastic staff. We love the location, easy to walk around and right on the beach boardwalk. Lots of restaurants and shopping plus beach access.
