The best part of this property was the staff and the comfort of the bed. I am very picky about what I sleep on and this bed was a ten! Staff could not have been more accomodating or helpful. Dom at the front desk made me feel right at home and he was very attentive. He always remembered me by name. This is by far one of the best hotels I have been in. The only down side was the coffee bar. Very slow and even if you called ahead, you waited in line like you never ordered ahead.

Hotel is a good 4 star. Rooms are big enough, clean and nicely decorated. Most staff are friendly. The only reason I gave it a total of 4 stars, rather than 5 was the fact that most staff at the restaurant, are working on a robotic-mode; they tell you automatically whatever they have been trained to say, or whatever they usually say, pretty much heartless service, no personal touch at all, but I have to admit, that this is pretty much the American way, in contrast to the more relaxed and personal attitude that is more common in Europe and Asia.

Fantastic stay!

Fantastic hotel located right in the heart of Waikiki. Very accessible to restaurants, shops, and the beach is a mere 5 min walk away. Hotel is comfortable and clean with a wonderful staff. Would absolutely stay here again! Only complaint I have are the mattresses. They are surprisingly lumpy and made my back sore every morning. Other than that, terrific hotel!

We're not the type of people that go to the same vacation spot or even stay at the same hotel. But this is 2 summers in a row we've stayed at The Laylow because we absolutely love this place. A great central location for our family with younger kids, walkable for food, beach, shopping and activities. But the hotel itself is so fun, amenities are lavish, activities and treats for hotel guests everyday, and best of all - the staff! Midori who runs the gift shop and activities and who knows what else remembered us! She's just the sweetest. This hotel also has a very active night scene so it can get loud but as long as you're not on the 3rd floor, I think you'll be fine. There are not enough characters in this review box to truly encapsulate how special this place is to us.

It’s not ideal for a couple but more suited to families. The shower clogged up multiple times. The air conditioner broke once. The bed was average. The gym was decent. The staff were friendly. It’s outdated compared to the online photos. It’s a good mid range hotel but certainly not high end.
