The hotel was outdated, dark, dingy and dirty. The parking was extremely limited in spite of being charged for it. Parking was first come first served and we often found ourselves unable to find a parking spot but we were charged daily. The rooms are in serious need of a renovation since they are dark and depressing and everything looks old and worn out. The hotel has fragrance pumping constantly into the common areas which caused headaches since we are extremely sensitive to fragrance. Artificial fragrance is also very toxic and should not be forced on guests. Finally, the location is far from beach access, shopping and dining. The area is run down and felt unsafe.

Decent Place to Stay

The location is walking distance to lots of amenities, beach, restaurants, coffee, shopping. The lobby is very nice, updated and smells great. The check in staff were friendly. It seems all of the renovation money went into the lobby. The room we were in did not appear updated in some time. Maybe 80’s or early 90’s. A bit musty. Very much like an older San Francisco or urban apartment. If you are just looking for a place to crash and don’t have high expectations or demands of room conditions then this place would work. It’s nicer than tent camping but not four star. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room was as clean as it can probably be. Parking is limited. If you need to do a lot of in and out driving you might end up parking at an overflow garage down the street that is also limited. If both locations are full you might be out of luck until a spot opens up. They mostly fill up at night for overnight parking. If it’s later in the day I would recommend parking and Ubering.
