Don't bother to stay here unless you love over crowded beaches and swimming pools, poor service and overpriced food. Very disappointing for the amount they charge. Room was nice but everything else was crowded, noisy and annoying. Our 10th floor 2 bedroom suite had a beautiful view but we could hear everything going on outside. The place was literally swarming with people and there were long waits at the few decent restaurants on the property. There were charges for everything. Even though you pay a pricey resort fee you still had to pay extra for everything it seemed. Not worth a fraction of the cost - stay somewhere smaller and save your money.

Thank you for your review. With Waikiki being a very popular tourist destination and there being so many properties here in our complex, we tend to run at a very high occupancy. We are sorry you were disappointed. We wish you all the best in your future travels. William Bethel Resort Director

Hilton Hawaiian grand vacations

I was pleasantly surprised with the suite.  I knew it was Hilton and would live up to its name, but I never expected the size and beauty of what we got.  There were 5 of us so we needed space.  So I opted not to take the standard hotel route and go with a suite. It was more than that. It was an apartment!  2 full bedrooms, two baths, a spacious living room, dining room, and a full kitchen.  There was also free laundry room nearby. All was a part of a huge vacation complex right on the beach with multiple pools.  Close to most amenities our adult children wre able to entertain themselves without needing to use the rental car. The hotel staff were very nice. The only complaint wad was there was something that kept biting my daughter and we narrowed it down to the room.  Even though they did come change the sheéts, she was still getting bit each day.  Other than offer their condolences they did not admit fault, nor any compensation to amend for the problem.   We didn't press the issue.

Beautiful grounds

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: small room
The grounds were stunning and made you feel you were in Paradise, unfortunately our room was tiny and only had 2 small windows so felt quite dark and dingy. We had booked a king bed but got given 2 doubles, when we tried later in stay to change or upgrade was told not possible as both Grand Vacations and Hotel fully booked out, saying that it did not seem crowded, was always able to get pool loungers and restaurants not busy

Way overpriced, for the money, you should get luxury

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, crowded
Booked a studio and was appalled upon arrival. For the excessive amount of money charged for what is a Hilton Grand Vacation property, I walked into a tiny room comparative to a Days Inn room, with no view, dark, dismal, with no balcony. I immediately called to reception to express my concerns and at first they weren't going to do anything. But I insisted and got upgraded to a better room, a one bedroom. It was in the tower next door, the Grand Waikikian, a "luxury" property. The one bedroom suite was very nice. It had a full kitchen, two bedded bedroom, a big tub, walk-in shower, nice bathroom and a view of a busy intersection and other buildings from its balcony, which I never used, due to the view. Hey, it was an improvement over the studio. The Hilton property is huge, consisting of many buildings, a variety of pools, a shopping mall, and lots and lots of people arriving in busses. If you are looking for a quiet bit of luxury, DO NOT stay here. You will be miserable. But if you like the excitement and hubbub, you might like it. We walked the entire property looking for a quiet secluded spot but didn't find a single one. They have a great beachfront location, with their own private lagoon which is beautiful. The gym is a trek from most other buildings and consists of lots of aerobic equipment but nothing but free weights. There is a pool there, the quietest one on the property, but no view and not near the beach. The spa is costly and using the steam room, sauna and dressing rooms will cost you $17 per day. The resort is a 15 minute walk away from the action in Waikiki, or a $6 cab ride. Waikiki beach is fun, loaded with malls, restaurants, high-end designer shops and lots of tourists. There are lots of little restaurants around the hotel and the hotel itself has many that are much pricier. The staff are generally very nice and helpful, but there are a handful of sourpusses working here. There are so many nicer hotels than the Hilton for the same cost, I see no reason to stay at the Hilton. I would choose the Westin or the Halekulani. (Try their brunch at Orchids, amazing!! but reserve a month in advance).

We love Lagoon Tower

Location is great, and the staff are friendly. The best of all is the village, which is so self-contained, we can easily find things to do ... eating, shopping, playing ... without leaving the hotel grounds.

Lagoon Tower

The Lagoon Tower was great and the staff very friendly. It would have been easier to check in if we knew the Tower we were in ahead of time.

Great Hotel

We really enjoyed our time there. Room was great! It was clean, beds were very comfortable and room had all the stuff we needed. We will be back. Only thing was that they were to intrested in trying to sell us time share than to help us book our tours. Had to go to the American Express office on site to get the help we needed. They kept saying if you just go to this 1 hour...bla bla bla... I don't want a time share! And the only other thing was that the buses can drop you off or pick you up at the Grand Lagoon tower. You have to walk along ways to your building so make sure you go ahead and get the bell service to take your bags to your room. We tryied lugging them and we will not do that again. Or better yet, just get a cab to your hotel because they can drop you off at the Lagoon tower. Only bad thing is you are along ways away from everything! You pretty much have to take a cab or bus to do anything off the hotel property. Don't get me wrong, they have lots to do, and I'm sure we did not see it all. But alot of the shops on property are very expesive but the good deals are not so good if you have to pay for a cab to get there.

Two Bedroom Grand Waikikian Suite

This was a very nice room for families. Lots of space but the second bedroom was small. Nice kitchen and living room area. Hilton Hawaiian Village was very crowded.
