This was the second hotel we stayed at in Hawaii and such a difference from our first. GREAT hotel. Really attentive friendly staff, rooms are wonderful. Service is amazing. There's a variety of food/drink options here. The food itself is good, one spicy dish anywhere on any menu would be incredible (but that's just personal taste). We tried a variety of different drinks with mixed results, but overall really enjoyed it all. Also, visit the hotels bakery... SO GOOD. The only slight downside to this hotel is the pool area is not the best. It feels really cramped and because of the proximity to the beach, many guests bring sand into the pool. Not ideal. It also closes fairly early. Location is right in the heart of everything, very walkable to most things. Overall, great spot! A great hotel, done well.

This is listed as a 5 star hotel and it’s expensive. I didn’t think it met that classification nor was it worth the price. The service is exceptional and so helpful. The property is older but it’s been kept up for the most part. There were stains on the carpet on floor 10 in the hallway. No AC in the hallways so it’s very warm. Our room was comfortable and clean. The amenities at the property are lacking. Pool - there’s only one pool so it’s adults and small kids. It was a bit crowded and lots of small kids. We booked an oceanfront hotel expecting to see the ocean but there’s no view of the ocean from the pool. It’s blocked by hedges. Beach access - there’s a very small strip of beach. No umbrellas or chairs. With high tide, there’s not really an option to go to beach. We ended up leaving the property and renting chairs and umbrellas on the beach next to Outrigger next door. Also, the beach “walkway” was closed for renovations. Restaurants- breakfast is great. Very pricey for buffet. If you expect to watch the sunset from House Without a Key, you won’t catch much of it. It faces the south and there is a building to the west that blocks a full sunset viewing. Also, you can’t see the ocean from the lawn at the restaurant because it’s blocked by hedges. The entertainment was beautiful - a band and hula dancer. In summary, we spent a lot to stay here but there’s not a lot of reason to stay there because of lack of amenities and access and views to ocean.

The stuff was very friendly and welcoming, they really upgraded the feeling from the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but they have a very nice little beach right behind the pool area which I enjoyed a lot.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and offers an elegant experience. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is fantastic. It's all in the little details, it feels luxurious but comtemporary. They even have a guess lounge to accommodate if you have checked out but you want to stay at the property while you wait...all in the details
