It is not a resort. Why charge fees? The pool is too small. The carpets are old. Phones are old.bayhroom too small. Babies not allowed to have floaters on the pool. Elevator takes too long 4 elevators but too slow and all going to the same direction. There is no welcoming stuff compared to all other hotels been in hawaii. It is not a 5 star.

We arrived after a 23 and a half hour journey from London and not one person offered to help with our luggage. We complained about this on the hotels.com "how was your check-in" and heard nothing from the hotel in response. We needed a doctor the next day and asked at the Front Desk. The girl didn't have a clue how to help people from the UK not used to the US medical system. The room was comfy enough but the bathroom was ridiculously small. God knows how the big overweight Americans cope in that tiny bathroom and shower. I would say the photos of this hotel are VERY flattering. We had breakfast included as in a club room. The breakfast was very chaotic and not at all relaxing. View from our beach view room was very nice, although the glass isn't thick or soundproofed and you can hear the road, cars and the ocean all night.

Everyone is amazing, this is my second time staying at the Alohilani and there’s definitely going to be a 3rd, 4th etc. The staff is very accommodating and the location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. The beach is right across the street and the Mc Donald’s downstairs is open 24hrs.

Stay somewhere else.

Active construction! They were jack hammering from 8am -5pm daily the whole duration of our stay and listed this as “moderate” noise which it is not! Then they had a private party at the pool from noon to 10:30pm on Friday and the whole establishment smelled like marijuana from the pool area during the party so you could not even be on the balcony!

The hotel itself was clean, cozy and the staff was very friendly. The only draw backs were that our room faced the pool area and every night there was some kind of entertainment there with loud music thus not allowing early night's sleep. The other was that the toilets from other rooms could be heard.
