Steps from the beautiful beach.

Wished there was free Wi-Fi and the gym could used an update. Beside that it was an excellent vacation. Staff were wonderful and the food was so much better than expected based on a previous all inclusive experience somewhere else.The nightly show was great to keep us entertained.

All inclusive not what it's cracked up to be

This hotel has a friendly staff and they keep the hotel rooms, and hotel grounds and pool clean and neat. Some of the problems are.... The pool water was cold, the food was not good, and the beds were uncomfortable.

Wonderful it was my first time in cancun at Grand Solaris and I will back as many times if I can.

The room has no sound insulation

We were put in a room connected to another room. The two rooms separated by a door. We could clearly hear every tiny sound from other room. The first night were wakes up at 3:00 am by the alarm from next room. Second night were wakes up again by loun noise of some drunk girls next room. This has been the worst hotel room we have ever stayed and felt like sleep with some strangers in a same room.

Management was terrible..

Pros: Some waiters and waitresses were nice and accommodating. Including our person who cleaned our room, Rigo, very clean..
Cons: Management and consigliere, they were horrible. Made us wait, did not give us the room we had paid for. They split our beds.
Location: Easy access to buses, every five minutes.
Waiters/waitresses and other staff members where great. The hotel room was clean. The management and people trying to sell their time share were horrible. Always harassing, did not want to even call us a taxi, cus they believed we were going to another hotel to view their time shares, so we had to take a bus.

OVERALL 3 STAR HOTEL

HOTEL LOCATION IS OK.. YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED WITH THE BEACH... POOLS ARE NICE.. ENTERTAINMENT STAFF IS GREAT.. HOWEVER THE ROOMS NEED A SERIOUS UPGRADE.. THE MATRESSES NEED TO BE REPLACED ( MY BODY STILL HURTS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO HARD) ANOTHER THING THE WALLS MIGHT BE TOO THIN.. I KEPT WAKING UP EVERYTIME MY NEIGHBOR COUGHS OR SNEEZES. FOOD WAS NOT BAD HOWEVER THE WAITERS WERE PUSHY WITH THE TIPS. DRINKS WERE GREAT THATS A PLUS AND THE SHOW WAS ALWAYS GOOD.. I REALLY THINK THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE TENNIS COURT FOR A BASKETBALL INSTEAD. THIS IS MY HONEST AND MOST SINCERE REVIEW PLEASE CHANGE THOSE MATRESSES.. THANK YOU

Regarding the beds, the mattresses at the resort are orthopedic; mostly used in hotels especially design to offer a goodnight sleep to all our guests. Please try to consider it depends on the different preference that each person has; however we offer a pillow top to any guest who still finds it hard. Didn't want to leave.

Location: Close to the airport. (15 minute drive). Beach is close and has a 20 foot sandbar. Parasailing, volleyball, jetskis. Clubs and bars are nearby.
Friendly employees. Good food. Plenty of activities. Not too big or small of a resort. Tipping will give you even better service.

Great Place

We love GR Solaris. It is a smaller resort but that's what makes it so good. No need to spend alot of time to get where you are going. The staff are awesome. The senorita that make the omelets at breakfast is great. Lunch at pool is always tasty with the pizza absolutely the best. The rooms are fine although the beds are starting to need to be replaced. If you like a hard bed then no problem. We always upgrade to an oceanview which is well worth it. Just a nice resort, great staff and spa.

Pros: The staff was great.
Cons: Needs to be updated.
Ok for first timers or on a budget. The hotel can use some upgrades. More food selection would be nice.
