This is the WORST HOTEL IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!! IVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD & THIS WAS BY FAR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN THE WORST WAY! FIRST LETS START OFF WITH WE PAYED MORE MONEY TO BE PREFERRED "BETTER LIQOUR" "VIP SERVICE" OFFERING THIS 150 COUPON FROM CHEAP CARIBBEAN CREDIT. SO WITH THE CREDIT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND DECIDED TO UPGRADE ONLY COMING OUT OF POCKET 150 usd . WE WENT FOR A WELCOMING BREAKFAST THE NEXT DAY THAT WE ATTEMPTED TO GO TO WHEN MONICA FROM VIP SERVICE TOLD ME I DIDN'T QUALIFY SINCE THERE WAS ERRORS WITH MY AGE & THAT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND WEREN'T LIVING TOGETHER SO AFTER THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE SHE HAD TO SAY. SO WE NOW LOST THE 150 credit AND AT CHECKOUT OSCAR MADE US PAY 360 ADDITIONAL TO THE MONEY WE ALREADY PAID 2,000. THE SAME NIGHT WE CHECKED IN WE HAD GOT LOCKED OUT OF OUR ROOMS AND I ASKED HOUSE KEEPING TO HELP US BECAUSE OUR KEYS WERE TURNING RED HE SAID NO AND DIDN'T CALL ANY ONE ANYWAY MIND YOU I WAS IN A ROBE IN A HONEY MOON SUITE. I THEN TELL MANAGER GEORGE AND HE BASICALLY SAYS OH WELL HE COULDN'T HELP NOT EVEN APOLOGIZING!!! THEN OUR FRIEND STAYED NEXT DOOR TO US HIS FRIDGE DIDN'T WORK FOR 3 out of 4 nights and HE DIDN'T HAVE HOT WATER WHICH WE COMPLAINED ABOUT AND NOTHING ! HE HAD TO SHOWER IN OUR ROOM HALF THE TRIP. MOST OF THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE & I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR WITH DREAMS SANDS AGAIN. 2,500 USDS AND TREATED LIKE PURE DIRT. DONT BOOK WITH THEM!!!

Ok hotel, nice location

When I arrived at hotel I was greeted by a very polite staff and we received a glass of champagne however, we couldn't check in early. I asked the front desk about the $200 credit so they called over a sales person (Aurora) and she wanted to talk about a presentation but we wanted to have lunch. After we came back from lunch the front desk to awhile to give us a key because they wanted us to talk to the sales lady. We advised them just wanted to relax. The sales people are very pushy. If they saw us leaving the hotel the would asked questions about were we are going because the worried about if we going to another hotel for a presentation. We came to relax not to be harassed. I knew it was a family hotel however, it was too many small kids all over the place running, yelling, and all over the pool. We wanted to have a romantic getaway but it wasn't. The food and entertainment was ok. The location was great right on the beach however, it had an awful smell at night. The drinks could have been a little stronger. Overall, the hotel was ok but I wouldn't recommend couples to stay here if they trying to relax or to be romantic.

Nice hotel right on beach

Ok everything about my trip was amazing the staff is really really friendly I was surprised at how attentive everyone was. We got a upgrade on our room and was able to check in early. It was my bday week so they kind of outdid them selves I had champagne and a lil cake waiting for me when I walked in my room on my actual birthday and that night after dinner I walked into a room full of balloons and heart shaped towel design. My man told them it was my birthday and they just hooked it up. Pool is nice beach is amazing, pretty blue. Only thing that was bad was a lil ants in the room some crawled on the bed but I called them they came and sprayed and the ants disappeared...we have a balcony pool and beach view. Music was good food was good I had a great experience overall.

Amazing experience at Dreams

From the moment we arrived we were treated amazing by the staff at Dreams. The facilities were well kept and I think they actually undersell how nice the resort is when you visit the website. Tons of show and activities to enjoy during your stay. Beach is beautiful and calm. The resort was full of guests but it never felt overcrowded. Food was good but not great. I would highly recommend Dreams Cancun!!

Bad service but good activites

Pros: The sand and the beach was really nice.
Cons: The hotel staff should stop hounding its guests to buy things that are not included. Especially since its supposed to be all-inclusive.
The sand and the beach are awesome. The water is crystal blue and what you would want when it comes to staying at a beachfront hotel. The sand is really fine and feels really soft. It was never too hot to walk on either. The resort had a new activity that went on every day too which was entertaining, i think, for the kids to experience. Those were the good things. The bad things unfortunately is that this "all-inclusive" resort tried to spend most of my stay there (3 nights 4 days) trying to get me to buy something from them. If it wasn't their travel plan/remixed timeshare (don't even think about it...its all a lie), then it was their "special dinners". I mean, i even had to pay for a ride from the airport ($85-$165), which should have been a red flag for me right then and there. The hotel also lost my reservation so i had to prove (when i arrived) that I actually had a reservation there. They also gave me a room with 2 double beds even though i reserved a room with a King. Then they tried to make me think that it was the room i requested during my reservation process. Take note again that they didn't even have my reservation. So i had to prove to them that I had a King bed, and even after proving that i did have a king bed, nothing was done about it. Also, the food was so-so on the resort. The pools were fun and my daughter truly loved those. Hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport.

Pampered Getaway

Pros: Beach, service, amenities, and staff
Cons: Glass door in the room bathroom looks nice, but was heavy and somtimes difficult to open
Location: Fairly close to the shopping district. Two plus hours to largest of the Myan ruins.
Very relaxing with a beautiful beach and lots of amenities. The staff was very friendly and always working to take care of guests. We enjoyed the various on-site restaurants and there was always food available even when we missed the normal lunch. Drinks were good and there were multiple bars and wait-staff to easily keep up with beverage demand.

The hotel description on Travelocity was misleadin

Pros: The employees tried had to be helpful.
Cons: Build up the beach so people don't have to sit on top of each other.
Location: The hotel is in a good location.
The hotel description on Travelocity was misleading. It's advertised as a new hotel. But in reality, it is an old hotel refurbished by Dreams. When I was in Cancun in 2010 and 2011, Dreams was at the site of the new Hyatt. It had dolphins. Pictures still pop up with old Dreams ads. The Dreams I ended up at was loud. Hotel guests drank too much and did a lot of cursing. The beach was so narrow that there weren't enough lounge chairs for everyone. It was almost impossible to walk into the ocean because of the huge boulders along the sand. I found one small section clear of rocks, we rented cabanas. We got better service this way. As soon as we walked into the hotel an employee took us aside to speak about the hotel. We were tired and wanted to go to our rooms with our luggage. We sat with her for about 15 minutes until I got up and said that I want to go to my room. She wanted us to attend a presentation about their other hotels. We could coupons for activities and sports. She wouldn't leave us alone. She finally got the hint. Our first room was tiny with air conditioner that didn't work well. We got moved to a bigger room with better air conditioning,

Breath taking views and good amenities

This resort was very nice with great views. There were lots of activities and the pools were well taken care of and very nice looking. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They were a little pushy about their spa and massages but all in all a great experience.
