Hotel staff and pool like water at the beach

The hotel staff was over the top great and the beach is small but the water makes up for it. Nice area with no waves at all and very clear. They should update amenities though as they advertised a trampoline in the water that didn’t exist and also no snorkel gear either which is represented in hotel amenities. Also lists on advertisements that they show movies on the beach and that was non existent. Entertainment staff during the day goes above and beyond with the planned activities. The food was overall pretty good and some of it great. The room is ok but the shower/sink area is divided by frosted glass. So little privacy between the two. It’s a bit awkward when you can see a silhouette me being a man and traveling with my daughter. I avoided the timeshare sales presentation as I always do. Overall experience was good. Again the staff is great but property and amenities are good.

The beach is nice. The staff and food are horrible

Blown away on arrival

This was by far the best getaway my husband and I have taken together in over 20 years. I have food allergies and can have pretty severe reactions. Things were marked well and I had zero problems. The staff was more accommodating and kind than what I have experienced at home or when vacationing in the states. Can’t wait to go back.

Nightmare at Dreams Sands

Pros: nothing that you can't get by any hotel.
Cons: Train your staff
Just because you put a bow on the toilet paper and a chocolate on your pillow, it does not make up for Hotel staff that are not helpful. If you call the front desk to be connected to the someone and he tells you he can't you have to come down or when you come down he sends you to a desk you just was sent away from it shows the staff is not trained & the hotel rating should not be more than a 2 star.

Beautiful beach

Beautiful sand beach close to walk out from hotel Never enough chairs. Restaurants food was good but service very slow. Lunch outside never had enough food for people in line. Hamburgers and fries and hotdogs was a big joke. They can’t figure out how to cook these and put them in a chafing pan. You had to stand in a long line while he cooked 3 at a time. Bad service every day there. Rooms are nice but maids are inconsistent with cleaning them. Hallways in the hotel are steamy hot and so was the disco. They have a few things to work on before I’d go back.

great golf course

Myself, girlfried and two small children stayed for 7 nights and for the money we paid it was acceptable, but dont go there thinking its a 4 or 5 star hotel because its not. Its a 3 or 3+ star one, but the staff, beach and location is 4 stars. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull, although I do not like the pushyness of the sales people, we went to relax and not to be bothered. the food was 3-star, very acceptable for price. Beach was very nice and I loved the golf course that came with the reservation. One problem was I had to see the hotel doctor on my last night and he did help me but costed a total 450$ dollars which was a lot but when i seen my bank chage it was 535$?? I have sent numerous emails but nobody has responded. Overall it is a nice place with nice people. Also they do a diservice to the staff by saying gratuity is included, please tip them!

This is the WORST HOTEL IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!! IVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD & THIS WAS BY FAR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN THE WORST WAY! FIRST LETS START OFF WITH WE PAYED MORE MONEY TO BE PREFERRED "BETTER LIQOUR" "VIP SERVICE" OFFERING THIS 150 COUPON FROM CHEAP CARIBBEAN CREDIT. SO WITH THE CREDIT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND DECIDED TO UPGRADE ONLY COMING OUT OF POCKET 150 usd . WE WENT FOR A WELCOMING BREAKFAST THE NEXT DAY THAT WE ATTEMPTED TO GO TO WHEN MONICA FROM VIP SERVICE TOLD ME I DIDN'T QUALIFY SINCE THERE WAS ERRORS WITH MY AGE & THAT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND WEREN'T LIVING TOGETHER SO AFTER THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE SHE HAD TO SAY. SO WE NOW LOST THE 150 credit AND AT CHECKOUT OSCAR MADE US PAY 360 ADDITIONAL TO THE MONEY WE ALREADY PAID 2,000. THE SAME NIGHT WE CHECKED IN WE HAD GOT LOCKED OUT OF OUR ROOMS AND I ASKED HOUSE KEEPING TO HELP US BECAUSE OUR KEYS WERE TURNING RED HE SAID NO AND DIDN'T CALL ANY ONE ANYWAY MIND YOU I WAS IN A ROBE IN A HONEY MOON SUITE. I THEN TELL MANAGER GEORGE AND HE BASICALLY SAYS OH WELL HE COULDN'T HELP NOT EVEN APOLOGIZING!!! THEN OUR FRIEND STAYED NEXT DOOR TO US HIS FRIDGE DIDN'T WORK FOR 3 out of 4 nights and HE DIDN'T HAVE HOT WATER WHICH WE COMPLAINED ABOUT AND NOTHING ! HE HAD TO SHOWER IN OUR ROOM HALF THE TRIP. MOST OF THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE & I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR WITH DREAMS SANDS AGAIN. 2,500 USDS AND TREATED LIKE PURE DIRT. DONT BOOK WITH THEM!!!

Ok hotel, nice location

When I arrived at hotel I was greeted by a very polite staff and we received a glass of champagne however, we couldn't check in early. I asked the front desk about the $200 credit so they called over a sales person (Aurora) and she wanted to talk about a presentation but we wanted to have lunch. After we came back from lunch the front desk to awhile to give us a key because they wanted us to talk to the sales lady. We advised them just wanted to relax. The sales people are very pushy. If they saw us leaving the hotel the would asked questions about were we are going because the worried about if we going to another hotel for a presentation. We came to relax not to be harassed. I knew it was a family hotel however, it was too many small kids all over the place running, yelling, and all over the pool. We wanted to have a romantic getaway but it wasn't. The food and entertainment was ok. The location was great right on the beach however, it had an awful smell at night. The drinks could have been a little stronger. Overall, the hotel was ok but I wouldn't recommend couples to stay here if they trying to relax or to be romantic.
