"Great staff elegant and clean hotel"
Very peaceful stay with a great nights sleep Very grateful they let me check in early as I had not slept for 24 hours and then I slept very well in a great bed in an airconditioned bedroom which was also great because it was 90 plus degrees outside.linens and towels carpet etc, clean too.

"Perfect for classy NYC vacation"
Large, well appointed, well designed room with an equally impressive bathroom! You'll also get points with your friends when you mention where you're staying (if that's important to you). Another added plus: unrestricted access to the bar/club/lounge that seems to always have a line forming at the door. Also, not sure if you can beat the central location with the 4/5/6 stopping right on the corner. Nothing bad to say about our stay.

"Good birthday weekend"
I lucked up and found this deal. It is located in Midtown. 4 blocks from a large subway terminal. Lots of places to eat and cute bars to hang out at after hours. 6 blocks of St Patrick's cathedral (if you're Catholic and into that like me). If you're a Sex and the City buff, you're also super close to the library where Carrie and Big were to get married. Also, super close to go and check out Rockefeller center. If I had to choose a downside to this hotel, I would say that it's not as "updated" as I have seen as other hotels. super small elevators, older looking tile. You can just tell it's been in the city awhile, but, that does not make it bad place to stay. The room was clean, had a flat screen tv, didn't have an odor, etc. I would stay again. Not to mention, we're not hanging out in the room too much anyway.

"Nice and Convenient"
The hotel was conveniently located in Flatiron, pretty close to a lot of things including Union Square. I would say it's a good value for the location and was quite a bit cheaper than some other options we were considering in Union Square about 5 blocks away. The rooms are small, but well-designed to maximize the space and comfort. Free WiFi was a huge plus and it worked well. The bathroom was larger than I expected and very nice. It seemed like it had been updated recently. The hotel staff was great - friendly, welcoming, and ready to help out if you need it.

"Really Nice for Not too Much"
I didn't realize there were two different buildings, but the check in was quite easy regardless. The staff were nice. I checked in very quickly. The room was clean and much more than I'd expected for the cost. I'd say the pictures online don't even do it justice. Check out was simple. You get a voucher for breakfast at a place about a block away (which was also delicious!). Overall, a very pleasant place to stay during my short trip.

"Excellent hotel - very comfortable, classy rooms"
Loved my stay at the Gramercy - my room was spacious, well appointed comfortable and classy. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the downstairs bartenders are attentive, creative and fun - no pretense! Great location for me with access to Flatiron area and terrific selection of local restaurants ranging from select bar food, top notch Italian to very good Indian food. I got a great deal in an off month and would love to stay here again if rates come down a bit.

"In the heart of New York"
When in New York, who stays in their room? We didn't, and found the Seton's location to be ideal. We weren't that far from Laguardia, and just blocks away from Grand Central (and Campbell's Apartment). Plenty of nearby coffee shops and restaurants and bars -- catch a cab at the nearest corner to explore other parts of town. Free coffee in the morning, and the courtyard is ideal for catching up on email or looking through the day's photos. The framed poster of THE CATCHER IN THE RYE is a reminder of the Wicker Bar mentioned in Salinger's book that, according to one staff member, never existed. But no matter. This old hotel has the feel of Salinger's New York. When you turn your key -- a real KEY -- in at the front desk when you leave, and then ask for it again when you arrive, you can't help but feel that you've stepped back to a time captured and glamorized by so many, many movies.
