Loved it

The peninsula is one of the best hotels I've stayed in NY. Great personalized service, spacious rooms, well equipped gym and a very pleasant rooftop. I hope to stay there again soon!

Terrific hotel and staff were warm and friendly

Terrific hotel. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. The location in midtown is ideal and the staff was so accondating and friendly. The room, food, spa and workout areas were fantastic. Catching a cab on a Friday or Saturday evening can be a challenge. Highly recommend the Penisula and would go back again.

Beautiful Hotel, wonderful staff

Pros: The entrance and lobby areas are gorgeous, with classic style and luxury.
Cons: Add USB outlets and conveniently accessible power outlets by the bed. I couldn't get room printer wifi working with my phone or tablet.
Location: It's close to shopping on 5th Avenue, blocks from Tiffany's and Central Park. We were able to do quite a bit of sightseeing just by walking.
We came to New York to see a concert, but this hotel stole the show. The staff was wonderful, from the doormen at the door to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and eager to help with anything you needed. The hotel entrance is stunning, with classic luxury like the chandelier and the sweeping stairs up to the reception area. We had the Superior room, and while it's not the biggest in the hotel, they have lavished luxury touches to make it a great room. The bathroom also feels luxurious, my wife loved it. The tub was deep, great for soaking after a long day walking around the city. It even has night lights you can turn on from the bedside, great to avoid those stubbed toes walking around an unfamiliar room in the dark. Since I'm kind of a technology geek, my only suggestion for improvement would be to add USB outlets and conveniently accessible power outlets by the beds. Next time we come to New York, this will be at the top of my list for a place to stay!

Gorgeous room. Perfect location.

Our second stay at the Penninsula. We usually try different hotels in NYC, but decided to return for convenience sake. Everything was perfect including the beautiful lunch on the rooftop sun terrace. We've tried a lot of places, but we'll be back here next time.

Great hotel at a great location

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. It has old-world charm. Rooms nicely appointed.
Cons: Wash the shower liner more often, as it smelled. Twice housekeeping disturbed us when we asked not to be disturbed.
Location: Within walking distance to Times Square (but not too close), shops, restaurants, and museums, as well as Central Park and Broadway.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooftop bar and lounge is a nice place to drink and socialize.

What a treat!

Pros: everything, great service, location. I use Travelocity often, and have never seen The Peninsula at such a great rate. Thank you!
Cons: To our surprise, the roof top bar allowed cigar smoking. This is probably the only complaint I would have
Location: One of my favorite restaurants, Il Corso, is right down the block. And of course Central Park and Bergdoff Goodman are close neighbors.
My Goddaughter and I travel yearly to NYC. Our Peninsula stay was, by far, the best visit yet! The service and staff are so wonderful and inviting. They do whatever they can to make sure you have an excellent experience. The location is grand, the bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom was huge! These two fashionistas felt very glam! Would definitely stay again!

Everything about the entire trip was perfect and we will hopefully do it again next summer. I took my 15-year old granddaughter and she had the time of her life (so did I). The Peninsula was wonderful in every way and the flights were really good, also. The shuttle was a little bit crummy (old shuttle buses) because the streets in New York are so bad. To sum it up, I would recommend this trip to anyone - it was fantastic - and we were able to see EVERYTHING because of the hotel's incredible location. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, great view. They upgraded our room so we had a view of the St. Regis across the street, which is a beautiful building.
Cons: Don't charge $28.00 for coffee maker in room!
Location: Could walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. Only used Subway to get to Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge.
Beautiful hotel, on 5th Avenue and few blocks from Theater District and Central Park. Friendly staff. This was my daughter's first trip to NYC, so wanted something clean, safe neighborhood and within walking distance to things we wanted to do, which was go to shows. Only thing I didn't like was request for small coffee maker in room cost a $28.00 room service charge. I hate it when luxury hotels add charges for things that are included in any other hotel room in the US. Wasn't a great coffee maker, either.
