Upper East Side Hotel Guide
With the Hudson River to the west and the Long Island Sound to the south, New York City, New York, floats along with an unending stream of entertainment. If you make it through the exhibits on Museum Mile, you might be grateful to see the shops on Madison Avenue. A new pair of shoes could be just what you need. Book one of the many glamorous Upper East Side hotels to explore Manhattan in style.
Upper East Side Glitz and Glam
There are plenty of hotels near Upper East Side to choose from, so you can relax after your time at the Simon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (known by locals as The Gugg and The Met, respectively). For more active fun, you can hit the Central Park Zoo and The Art Farm in the City, an indoor petting zoo. You can also explore famous Central Park along the numerous walking paths. Upper East Side vacation packages put you right next to the park. Grab a hot dog from a street vendor or stop at one of the cafes serving elegant and elevated plates.
When you're done picking out celebrities and socialites, you can head eight miles south to visit the Statue of Liberty. No visit to New York City is complete without a view from the torch. Once you're done with Lady Liberty, head back north for six and a half miles to visit Times Square. Here, you can eat at some of New York City's most famous restaurants and end the evening with a Broadway show. After the final curtain, it is only another two and a half miles north to some of the cheap hotels by Upper East Side, so you don't need to break the bank on your big-city vacation.
