If you are planning a trip to San Antonio and are looking for a convenient neighborhood to base yourself in, check out Alamo Plaza. You will find Alamo Plaza 0.1 miles (0.2 kilometers) to the north of central San Antonio.

While San Antonio is celebrated for the iconic attraction, the Alamo, it also has a wide range of other excellent tourist spots, including the Six Flags Fiesta Texas and San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium.

Make sure you add the Rivercenter Mall to your list of plans while in Alamo Plaza, as it's one of San Antonio's more popular visitor attractions.

Alamo Plaza has a range of hotels and other accommodation options, but you and your friends might enjoy staying within the vicinity of both the Pearl Brewery and the Market Square. Make a choice from the Omni La Mansion del Rio and Hilton Palacio Del Rio to stay a short distance from the Pearl Brewery, or the Hotel Contessa - Luxury Suites on the Riverwalk and Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk-Downtown to be closer to the Market Square.

"My first visit to San Antonio was even better thanks to my stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk. The hotel offers an excellent location and great value for the price. I enjoy exploring new places on foot, so the walk to the River Walk and nearby attractions was not a problem at all. The staff and housekeeping team were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and satisfying each morning. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again on my next visit to San Antonio."

"Expedia did not inform us of the construction next to the hotel that won't be done until summer 2028. This is a historic boutique hotel that does not have a restaurant on site. Nice deco, but we hated the weird, musky smell of our room. But their breakfast was fresh. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet has a lot to be desired. They're contracted. They ONLY park and RETRIEVE your car. They do not help you out, unload, bring your luggage to your room, etc. Nor was my information online updated to show actual progress of my retrieval. Waited almost 40 minutes one time, and the second time my app didn't even tell me my vehicle was being retrieved but had been waiting as we arrived downstairs. Overall, the location was great, hotel staff friendly, but ok for 2 night stay."
