If you are planning a trip to San Antonio and are looking for a convenient neighborhood to base yourself in, check out Alamo Plaza. You will find Alamo Plaza 0.1 miles (0.2 kilometers) to the north of central San Antonio.

While San Antonio is celebrated for the iconic attraction, the Alamo, it also has a wide range of other excellent tourist spots, including the Six Flags Fiesta Texas and San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium.

Make sure you add the Rivercenter Mall to your list of plans while in Alamo Plaza, as it's one of San Antonio's more popular visitor attractions.

Alamo Plaza has a range of hotels and other accommodation options, but you and your friends might enjoy staying within the vicinity of both the Pearl Brewery and the Market Square. Make a choice from the Omni La Mansion del Rio and Hilton Palacio Del Rio to stay a short distance from the Pearl Brewery, or the Hotel Contessa - Luxury Suites on the Riverwalk and Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk-Downtown to be closer to the Market Square.

"Very nice staff, very clean room, great location near riverwalk, shops and restaurants. We liked that you have to have your room key to go on the elevator - it felt safer! Our city view was nice, but we did have to move a night stand table to be able to open the window cover, and look out. I brought a noise maker after reading reviews about road noise, but it wasn’t too bad. The rain made really loud tapping sounds on the window, however, and that kept waking me up. I had to turn the noise maker on high. Having to walk to, and use a parking garage down the street was a pain, but that’s just part of the downtown life, I guess! Overall excellent stay, with no problems. "
