My husband and I chose this hotel because we were going to see Beauty and the Beast at the Majestic Theatre, and the location could not have been more perfect. It is an easy walk, and the hotel feels wonderfully bougie for how fairly priced it is. It honestly feels like we finally found our home away from home in San Antonio. We arrived late and our room was not ready at first, which was disappointing, but the front desk handled it very well. They offered us drink vouchers while we waited, and the room was ready quickly, so it ended up being only a minor hiccup. We also parked nearby instead of using valet since we packed light and did not feel the need to pay extra for that convenience. The room was spacious with a soft, comfortable bed and a cozy, relaxed feel. My husband is very sensitive to lighting, and he kept mentioning how much he loved the lighting throughout the room and hotel. It felt soft, warm, and elegant rather than harsh or glaring. We also really enjoyed drinks at Dorrego. I had a Rosé Real that was delicious, and my husband ordered Lone Star. They were out of the regular version, so he tried the light one and still enjoyed it. The drink prices felt very fair for the quality and atmosphere. We will definitely be back and plan to make this our regular hotel whenever we are in San Antonio.
