The room.was very damp and smelly, we ask for a refund but the hotel refused to accommodate us we only stayed for a few hours because on top of the smell the room is very outdated the forniture is old and stained as well as the carpet, it gave me an uneasy felling to lay on the Bed not sanitary at all!!!

Overall decent hotel and was clean. Coffee shop downstairs is definitely a must have. The bar was good but if trying to order food late 10/11ish was already done serving even though it says until midnight. The noise was due to construction going on that started each morning at 6am.

Oooof! Not much good to say here. Right from the get go things were a mess. Valet didnt text me and then “misplaced my keys and my car card number”. We had to wait for the room to get a quality inspection before going up, but once we were released to go up, the came in and did an “inspection” while we were in there. Very dirty everything. The carpets. The bathroom. The handles. The entire hotel smelled like a highly chlorinated pool, yet wasnt clean. The mattresses were hard as a rock and sloped towards the center of the room. The sheets were like sandpaper. The only thing nice was the lobby. I was just shocked at the condition of the place. The staff were fine. I actually felt bad for them because they were apologizing for everything. Absolutely do not recommend.

I like the hotel being within walking distance from all the major attractions! The Alamo was right across the street. We had a view from our window of the Alamo. The staff was very nice and friendly! The coffee shop and Tavern inside the hotel was really nice and loved the decor. The ghost tour starts inside the hotel and it was a lot of fun. Our ghost tour guide was Robert. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay at The Crockett hotel again!

Crockett Hotel

Unfortunately, we were on the 2nd floor right above the tavern so we could hear the music until they closed, and the Alamo area right outside is being redone so we could hear them when they started work around 6:30 am. However, we want the work done and the room rate was significantly lower. The staff was very good at front desk and Miles at Valet was very good as well. Overall a very good value for two nights since it is right by the Alamo and close to the river walk. Also, Schilo’s delicatessen was recommended which was super!

Love that it is right next to the Alamo and entrance to the river walk. The shower head is fixed and inconvenient. We were on 2nd floor above the Tavern and it was noisy till midnight, soundproofing is not good.

great location, walkable and easy access.

the hotel is located in a great spot, north east of the alamo, so around the mall, walkable to restaurants and bars/social areas on the riverwalk. the valet was $45/night, which is a little steep if you consider that the hotel is older and more of a landmark than luxury.
