Great hotel, close to everything.

It's the third time I stay there with my children. We've gone to the IMAX movie theater and come back at night, and it's so close we've felt very safe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and new, and the water is not super soft as in most Riverwalk hotels. My only complaint has to do with Valet parking, my vehicle had a different radio station playing every time they brought car around, and playing very loud. The driver seat had been changed, every time, and when I tipped the attendant as we were leaving, he didn't bother to help me with luggage (single mother with three small children who tipped him after the $42.00 a night parking price tag) and no help : / so my departure wasn't the highlight of the stay, but I would definitely stay again, I just wouldn't tip the attendants for subpar work.

Off the Riverwalk and near casa rio restaurant

It was an ok hotel. I wasn't at all pleased where I want to return and stay there again. I wanted to try a different hotel but I should of stuck with Homewood suites off the Riverwalk in my opinion. I found trash from the previous guest and the night stand had two outlets to charge devices that did not work. I was 4 out of 5 guests who got lost getting to the elevators the day of check in. We were all told to take a left and well it was the wrong elevator. Lastly, we had a 4 door dully truck that wasn't allowed for valet or self parking. We were told to go park over there for $12 but we parked at the riverbend garage nearby and it fit perfectly. I understand why.

Exceptional hotel on the Riverwalk

Pros: Beautiful decor, designer rooms, luxurious bathrooms, attentive staff, Starbucks coffee in the lobby cafe.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It is on The Riverwalk, which is a scenic canal lined with restaurants. Nearby is the Alamo, museums, and La Villita, a market for arts and crafts.
I have never written a review before but I must report that this hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations. The hotel is conveniently located on the Riverwalk and next to La Villita, a charming market area, which held a coffee tasting festival while we were there. It is also walking distance to The Alamo and an easy 18-minute drive to Lackland AFB. The hotel decor is beautiful and stylish with upscale comfortable rooms. Our balcony had a fabulous city view. The staff is respectful and helpful, in fact the front desk graciously accommodated our last-minute request for a room change and three rooms adjacent to each other, which made our family reunion delightful. The only negatives are that the hotel parking is unavoidably in a public facility about a block away, and it was an additional $30/day with unlimited trips in and out. There are public lots nearby for much less if you wish. Nevertheless, I give this hotel five stars and would recommend it without hesitation.

Christmas birthday stay!

Pros: It has balconies over the river walk. It has great San Antonio atmosphere.
Cons: Better restaurants.
Location: The location is perfect for touring downtown San Antonio and the river walk. It is walking distance to EVERYWHERE!
We always stay here with our very best friends for my birthday which is in December. We get to enjoy the downtown and river walk Christmas atmosphere at this fun hotel.

O.k., food pricey

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
One thinks if they are staying at a Hilton they should get the best, that used to be how it was, not so much any more. The room was o.k. but not the best I've been in. I upgraded to a river view, don't waste your money. Yes, you get a "view" of the river but I also go a more than a view of a huge water tower and could barely see the river through the trees. I also upgraded to a King room thinking I would get more room, don't bother. There is no tub, just a shower in the king room. I might could live with that but there is also no door on the bathroom. Let me rephrase that, there is a door that slides across both the bathroom and the closet so you can either have the closet door closed or the bathroom door closed. Not acceptable, I shouldn't have to choose. There is also a timer on the bathroom light, I was using the shower on pulse to massage my aching shoulders after a long day and in the middle of my shower, the bathroom light goes out. Here I am, 6 am in the shower in the dark. I'm completely night blind so getting out of the shower and feeling my way over to the light switch was an adventure. The food and drinks were way overpriced. It never costed me less than $20 for breakfast, no matter what I ordered, that included a continental breakfast. I had one glass of wine at the bar and it was $12 without the tip, for a glass of California wine? Really? The Irish pub was no better. The hotel is in a good location, right in the middle of downtown and close to everything. I stayed in another hotel downtown on a previous trip, paid less for the room, had a suite and paid less for food. The room was clean and the staff seemed friendly enough. I loved the fitness room but the pool was a joke, there weren't enough chairs unless you got there very early, I think there were only 4 or 5 up there. All in all it was just o.k. not what I've come to expect from a hotel of this price.

Friendly staff and great value for your money

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, room amenities, close to dowtown riverwalk
Cons: No free Internet
My husband and I stayed here during Easter weekend and we were very pleased with our overall experience at this hotel. They offer great room amendities and their staff is friendly. The hotels' proximity to the Riverwalk ,the Alamo and all of the downtown's attractions were very convinient, in that we walked everywhere and didn't drive anywhere . I would say great value for your money and not too pricey compared to other hotels on the riverwalk . The one thing that we found wrong with this hotel was the valet parking price per day, but not too bad considering your car is safe and in a parking garage. Would definitely recommend .

Slightly disappointed.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet, parking a hassle and pricey
Have stayed at cleaner and friendlier places for a lot less money. Parking is a block away and $27 per night and internet is another $10.95 per day. Couldn't get service very fast at Irish Pub and meals at all restaurants on site very pricey.

Nice location on the Riverwalk

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: hand cleaned glassware
We spent only one night at this hotel but we did like it's location on the river. It was close to several restaurants and pubs. Also was just across the river from the riverboat station so it was easy to take the tour of the river district. The room was nice but Hilton's continue to put glassware in the rooms that have fingerprints and smudges around the rim. Coffee cups also were smudged and unsanitary in appearance. We have learned to carry plastic cups for use in any Hilton Hotel, Crowne Plaza and Embassy Suites. The room was a bit small with a king sized bed and all the other furniture. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows.
