"Catfish Hotel - online pictures are amazing, looks like they were taken years ago because IRL I barely recognized the hotel from the photos. Location was great. Near the beach and restaurants. We had live larvae on our pillows when we walked in the room. We had about five of them, so we flushed them down the toilet and cleaned up the bed. Thinking it was a one-off. Next day we didn’t see any bugs until we got back from dinner. New bugs with wings were dead on our little refrigerator, we had about 20 of them just dead on there. Funny thing is, we walked out of the room with no bugs on there, house cleaning literally walked in after us and when we returned we found 20 bugs dead on the window of the refrigerator, so weird. So I took pictures, walked to front desk, showed them pictures of the bugs, they said they will clean it up and never did. We checked out the next morning. If we visit South Beach Miami. We will look for another hotel. Was not impressed with cleanliness or service. I’ll spend the extra $20-$40/night and stay next door, we checked out those properties and they are actually clean."
