"Very cool Retro / Deco"
Very cool older 5 story hotel in the Best location, right on the strip in South Beach, in the Art Deco district. Lucky enough to catch the Art Deco street fair, so the main drag (Ocean Park) in front was closed off for booths, food, and street performers. Fantastic world-class beach directly in front of the hotel. Excellent night life steps away both directions. The room was pretty quiet considering the bustling street. Had some noise from the hallway and the footsteps above. Bed was delightful, TV good, ultra-modern bathroom, desk, mini-fridge, mini-safe. Tiny closet. Cool and functional for a reasonable price. Big hotels are great for conventions, but isolate you from the street life. This hotel draws you in to the street, the beach, and the surroundings; makes you want to go out, walk around, be a part of the South Beach scene.

"Beware of the $50 cocktails"
The staff is what makes this a good hotel. Obviously, if you're staying at a hotel on South Beach you know it's a party area and it's not cheap. But the room was very reasonably priced and they offer free valet parking and other things. Of coarse the traffic in this area is very congested, but everything you want is within walking distance. If you go to the restaurant you should be careful about ordering drinks because they're crazy expensive. The room itself was decent and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but still okay. It's an old hotel. I would have given this place a lower rating if weren't for the awesome staff. Everyone who works at the Beacon Hotel is very friendly and helpful. The staff is the reason I would stay at this place again

"Decent Hotel on Ocean Drive"
Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. I didn't really expect much but was comfortable to a weekend stay. My only gripe was the shower; the water temperature was good but the pressure wasn't great but you manage.

Didn't know what to expect, clean, neat, small room but, beds comfortable, lots of pillows, nice bedding. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel retains some of it's old Art Deco style while providing a good product. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Valet Parking at the front of the hotel is excellent.
