I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay for everything even after paying such a significant amount of money to book the room. The employees at Ocean Social wasn’t that friendly. I don’t know if the reason is because I’m “not white” let’s put it that way. They made my wife uncomfortable and that made me unhappy. The pool was giving problems so we couldn’t go in and it was annoying. It’s weird for a guest at a hotel be required to pay to use the hotel’s beach umbrella. All these things need to be corrected. I’m not recommending anyone to go here.

We love the location of the hotel. I love that it’s oceanfront. Our room was nicely appointed although I felt like the entire hotel could be cleaner and it is showing its age. Also, the water in the bathroom is not very hot.

I wasn’t expecting a beach view so that’s a non-issue. The rooms need some repairs - baseboards coming off, paint peeling…for that kind of money, I expect better. The AC didn’t work very well either.

Eden roc is in need of an update. I’ll start with the positive though. The staff was really kind, attentive, professional, and friendly. Also, we had a wonderful meal at nobu on NYE, with no reservation. We waited maybe 5 mins and got seated at sushi bar and the dining room was full. Our server was wonderful. The negative- the hotel is old. The rooms are bare, we had. 10-12’ wall with nothing on it, no sofa, desk, etc. Our room balcony door didn’t lock (traveling with kids), our bathroom door handle was non existent, the shower handle fell off on first use, the bathroom mirror was coming out of the wall, the tv didn’t work for the first 3 days we were in the room, and we had no robes, not enough towels for 4, etc. it just felt like the standard was low and in need of updating. The view is beautiful, the room is dingy.

Nice private beach area. Was given corner suite with a balcony & ocean view as a free upgrade. Service was a little slow but I would stay again. Very clean rooms and nice property.
