We stayed 4 nights including New Years Eve. Great location to beach. Free bottled water for entire stay. Free use of beach towels and sturdy beach chairs. Free bikes and computers. Clean rooms, pleasant staff and comfortable bed. Our room had a balcony that over looked the pool so we heard the dj till 4 am keeping the party going at all times which was one of my favorite parts. I would definitely stay here again AND in same room.

A nice hotel in a fun area

This was my first time to Miami Beach and I think this was a great place to stay to get the true feel of South Beach. By no fault of the hotel, it was impossible to get to the valet stand because there was so much traffic-this is Ocean Drive-literally on the beach, so I would assume that’s to be expected. Valet was $45, which I find a little excessive, but trust me, it is money well spent. The building and rooms were Art Deco inspired and very cool - I felt a little like a “hipster”. The room was adequate and the bathroom was nice. Shower pressure was low. The room felt a little cramped, but enough space for an overnight stay. There is a restaurant on premises which was very good. I had to sit at the bar because the music at the outdoor seating was just too loud. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend. My trip to South Beach was the highlight of my vacation!

Very disappointed

Pros: Location
Cons: Better customer service
Location: Across from the beach with tons of local bars nearby.
Very disappointed and will never stay at this hotel again. For years this has been my favorite hotel but the way I was recently treated changed all of that. Long story short, my family planned a cruise leaving out of miami so we booked 4 rooms at this hotel for 1 night each. At the last minute we found out that 2 out of 4 were cancelled. The reason is due to the hurricane, but this is a lie, since the rooms that were cancelled were booked 1 week prior to the ones that did not get cancelled. Visiting their website while on-premise shows the rooms were still available and could be booked, but at a higher price. There was no way they were going to allow us to get the reserved rooms at the price we previously booked them for. Had to get on the phone with Travelocity and go trough the relocation process which not only was a pain, but also we had to pay slightly more for another hotel nearby. This was very inconvenient and frustrating. So if you book any rooms at this hotel make sure to call multiple times and verify your reservations are not cancelled.

Would not recommend.

The pool was closed and sent us 2 blocks down to another hotel. Looking at the pool they had it is a stretch to call it a pool it is so smalll. Had a courtyard view, they fail to tell you that is where club is, music until 4 am than the staff stacked the chairs. They did not compensate us and still charged us the"resort" fee. Not going back

I am sad to hear that you did not find the hotel to your expectation. However since the hotel is located in the heart of South Beach within Ocean Drive this leads to an ongoing night life. Please accept my apologies for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay.

Great time

If youyou are looking for a party spot this is the right place, right in the middle of all the good spots, best beach area across the street, they wont cover your beach rental tho, bummer" good breakfast buffet, alot going on around hotel at night, lots of noise! So if you are looking for quiet go very far from this area or you wont sleep at night.

Watch out for the restaurant outside the hotel

Hotel was nice in a great location walking distance from everything. But watch out for the outside restaurant at hotel. They have a few things with out prices that i should of known better and asked. A large drink for two was $50 and a plate of assorted meats were $160. Ive eatten the same at other places for less that half that amount. Also there was a $40 charged when we asked the waiter he said that it wasnt gratuity But its a charge they use to pay his wages. $40 an hour for a waiter? Sign me up. Not sure if id stay again after feeling like i got ripped off. But like i said hotel is nice.

Much better places in the area

When I checked in I was supposed to be placed into a junior suite but they had some however "overbooked" even though the arrangements had been made well in advance. They offered sincere apologizes and put us in a standard room and a $75 discount. The manager also said she would give us two free drinks of prosecco (didn't happen) and two free breakfast. When we came down in the morning to have breakfast they were saying only select items (the continental breakfast) was allowed. I didn't want the whole thing just French toast which was cheaper! Finally they came back and said ok after about ten minutes of discussing it. Watch out for the drinks! When you look at the menu they magically forget to put prices on the big drinks. You have two super-sized adult beverages and end up finding out afterwards that they were $30 each. I also went downstairs at one point to get water and was told they only had bottled water. I said ok fine how much is that. $15 for Voss bottled water! If you stay in this hotel it definitely helps if you speak Spanish because otherwise you're going to end up with a lot of staff that just look at you when you ask for something. Some of the staff were friendly but most especially in the cafe weren't too happy when you asked them for anything. They did an awesome job of taking photos of the swimming pool. Like the pool in the TV show Dallas this one is only 3 feet deep and probably not more than 3 times longer than an average bathtub. There is no drink service when I walked around the pool. It just seemed to be an afterthought. Note: If you are a light sleeper or even a hardcore bear during hibernation you WILL BE AWOKEN by the extremely loud music outside the hotel not just on Friday and Saturday night but every night. I'm all for entertainment and dancing but at some point you've gotta sleep and you can't escape when you're in your room. I even asked to be moved to another part of the building to get away from the music and it didn't help. We had an issue with the valet the ONE night we parked a car there. I handed the keys to what looked like they valet or security guard for the hotel. I never received a ticket as we were checking in at the same time. I didn't think much of it. The next day when we went to get the car they were asking for the ticket or ticket number which I didn't have. The guy I call "Pitbull" because he looks like a mini version of the singer, went to the front desk to get our ticket number and then started asking us what car it was. He said it would only take eight minutes. Having been around Latin America I know what eight minutes but this was more like 30+. At one point he was still looking for the car. Finally we got the car and he said make sure you remember your number as it will be the same every time. We told him that we were returning the car and that we wouldn't be needing valet anymore. To the major shock and ah when we checked out they billed us for EVERY SINCE NIGHT! We had to argue with the manager to take them off and then she went to Pitbull asking him to verify that we did not park the car more than one night. He could not remember as if that matter and finally said yes only one night.  The second night we stayed we left the hotel for several hours and then returned back late in the afternoon. It was starting to get about 6PM and the room had not been cleaned. I spoke to the front desk and they had to call housekeeping to come and clean the room. Several days later I happen to be in the room when the maid came around to clean. I noticed that she never vacuumed the floor and only used a hand towel to clean the bathroom. She was only in the room maybe ten minutes for a junior suite. I never saw any chemicals used to clean the bathroom. Then the dirty towels were bagged up and left in the hallway pretty much till the next day. The location of the hotel was pretty good on Ocean drive but given how much we paid per night I later found out that we could have stayed at the Lowe in a much better room for less money. In all I would recommend this hotel even if they discounted their rates by half.
