"I recently stayed at Eden Roc Miami Beach and while the property itself is beautiful, I was disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding charges during my stay. I booked through Expedia and already understood there would be approximately $153 in hotel-related fees. During check-in, I was offered a room upgrade and was verbally told it would be an additional $300. However, nobody explained that multiple additional taxes, occupancy taxes, and extra resort-related charges would also be added afterward. I was also charged for an espresso order that I never purchased. I had to explain the situation to the front desk, and thankfully they removed the charge, but it was still concerning to see incorrect charges appear on my bill in the first place. Seeing unexpected charges throughout the stay was frustrating, especially since I had already paid separately for food and drinks. I completely understand taxes and hotel fees exist, but guests should be clearly informed of the full expected total before agreeing to upgrades or additional services. Aside from the billing concerns, the hotel itself is nice and the location is great, but transparency and billing accuracy definitely need improvement."

"My room was given away but it was a forgivable mistake as we had the same name and staff comped some drinks. The room I was given however was of poor quality. Saw multiple roaches, room felt muggy no matter the what the a/c setting. I could hear everything happening on my floor. I will not be staying here again. "
