"Stay"
It was a great stay and close to many things we wanted to do. Restaurant was excellent but pricey. Gift shop was very good with an array of Pittsburgh items. Greatest item of knowledge was the fact that the subway to the ballpark was just around the corner. However, the hotel staff did not inform us of this. We were told the shuttle would take us. We waited at least 20 minutes before a bystander told us about the subway. We think the hotel needs to do a better job of promoting the subway to clients.

"The Westin did not disappoint. Wonderful Stay!"
I had never been to Pittsburgh before. My daughter was there for a dance audition at Point Park University. Very unsure of what to do or where to go. The Westin did a wonderful job to direct us where to go and where to eat. The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. We really appreciated being able to print our boarding passes at no cost. All hotel staff that we came in contact with were extremely friendly.

"Close to everything"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We wish it could have been longer. The hotel has the most beautiful lobby, filled with activity. I was pleasantly surprised with the staff and their friendliness, from the time we stepped out of our car until the time we got back in our care. They were quite helpful with our bags, pointing out points of interest and even checking on the construction in the area for our departure. When we checked out they offered to keep our bags as we went to brunch. I could not have asked for nicer rooms. We asked for two rooms close together and we actually got adjoining rooms, which was wonderful. Our bags were delivered quickly to our room and once again with a very pleasant personality. We will definitely return.

"One of my best stays ever!"
It was only our second trip into the Pittsburgh area. The first time was not an enjoyable experience however, this time more than made up for it. Most of it was due to the Hyatt house. The hotel itself was one of the best I've stayed in for travelling. It was extremely clean, the staff was helpful, happy, courteous, and the location couldn't have been in a better place. It is near a great shopping area, there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, and the view of the river is beautiful. You can also take the complementary shuttle or drive to many of the city's attractions (Kennywood, children's museum) within 20 mins.

"Clean, comfy, classy hotel with good service."
I was happy with my stay at this Holiday Inn. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. I didn't need to have much interaction with staff, but I noticed that there was a busy wedding party using the hotel that weekend, and the folks at the front desk seemed to be doing a great job taking care of many people at once, delivering packages from the wedding couple to guests checking in, etc. The location was also great for me, since I had business at the University of Pittsburgh. I was very close to the things I needed to do during the day and also to many great restaurants and shops to explore in the evening.

Would You Like Fries With That?

You can't discuss Pittsburgh without mentioning Primanti Brothers. This local restaurant chain is famous--or, rather, infamous--for its sandwiches piled high with coleslaw and fries. Be sure to grab lunch at any of their sit-down or take-out branches for a truly local experience. Speaking of local, did you know Pittsburgh has a blossoming local food scene? From local and vegetarian cuisine at Legume in the North Oakland neighborhood to farm-to-table eats at Spoon in Eastside, Pittsburgh is serious about eating well. Hotels in downtown Pittsburgh are no exception, with locally sourced ingredients at Habitat, located on the ground floor of the Fairmont.

    Downtown Views

Between delicious, local meals, check out some don't-miss attractions near one of the many hotels in Pittsburgh. The main thing to do, undoubtedly, is ride one of Pittsburgh's two inclines up Mount Washington for a spectacular view of downtown. You'll also want to block off a chunk of your Saturday morning to stroll through the Strip District (near a number of Pittsburgh hotels) for sidewalk sales and delicious food carts. Traveling in the summer? Be sure to visit Kennywood Park, which also offers some fun-in-the-fall Halloween entertainment, or enjoy a Just Ducky Tour on one of the city's three beautiful rivers.
