Our room was SO tiny! The toilet had dried urine around the base. We could hear the alarm clock of another guest through the wall repeatedly going off. Front desk claimed ignorance about both cost of parking and restaurants not affiliated with hotel. The parking attendant also told me he had recently been released from jail (a strange and significant overshare.)

We checked in Friday and got to our room and found out it was compact room. Which means it was a very small room with minimal walking room. It was nice, however, for the price we paid per night I would have booked somewhere else and had actual space to open our suitcase somewhere other than on the bed. The pictures on both Expedia and the Joinery website were deceiving. We also went for supper in the restaurant Friday night which only had a bar tender and two cooks working. The bar tender was over run and because of that, the service was less than satisfactory. Our meals came out fairly quickly but the two steaks were cold and options of sides were not given. For a Friday evening they should have adaquate staff to run smoothly.

First time ever in Pittsburgh and this hotel made me want to never go back. The room is about the size of a child’s shoe box. I was told that to park my rental car there would be around 300 for a couple days. That’s insane. And the cherry on top was the $300 deposit that they charged upon check in that would be refunded at checkout… never got refunded. Argued with staff and called my bank only for the hotel to tell me I need to call back at 7am the next day.. I live in California. Never thought I’d miss LA so much

Everything was pretty good, was supposed to have a King bed, but it was a queen. Staff was polite and friendly. The bar was closed when we returned to the hotel for the evening , but was supposed to open for another 45 minutes.

Very nice hotel. Room was a bit small but otherwise very good. Enjoyed the lobby area and the terrace very much. Location is good. Short walk to many attractions including Mt Washington and PNC Park. I highly recommend this property. Very reasonable price.
