This hotel was so understaffed that it took over an hour - at 4:30pm - to get into our rooms because they weren’t cleaned yet. Our rooms were not cleaned or restocked once in a 4-night stay. Our accessible room’s roll-in shower was clogged causing the entire bathroom to flood, and also had empty shampoo and body wash containers. The staff were pleasant and the valets were good, but this was far too expensive for this experience - I will not ever pay in advance again.

Customer Service is a lost art

We drove up from Dc and when arriving we were happy they had valet. Two attendants were outside but never came to the car to inquire about if we wanted to park. At that point, I got out and walked over only to find them in deep conversation about football. I decided to self park. Check in was smooth. I asked for a higher floor but was told no rooms with double beds were available. Get to the room, and it was FREEZING! Turned on the heat but couldn't take it. It was just too cold. We called down to seebif we could get another room. She said yes! It was so great to hear! But thinking, I was told no were rooms were available. We were moved to a better room on the 4th floor. We had some time before our dinner reservations, so we decided to enjoy a glass of wine we had brought. Went down to the bar to have the bottle opened, and the bartender wasn't so nice, seemed annoyed to help. I was quite aware of the cork fee, but her attitude in emphasizing the fee was disappointing. She missed out on a tip. Overall we were only there for one night sonwe made it work. The shower was great, room was clean, just wish they had better customer service.

Interesting building but my room had a water issue - hot water only in the sink and lukewarm shower. The TV turned on by itself so had to unplug it. They gave me a new room but only when I asked. The impression I got was that I should deal with the issues and there was no apology for the inconvenience or any attempt to make up for it. I had to take an almost cold shower the first night. They also tried to charge me for valet services even though I told them when I checked in that I didn't have a car, yet it was still on my bill when I checked out so be careful. Again, no apology whatsoever.

Great place and pet-friendly. My cat had and I had a nice stay here. The staff was great. I wasn't able to try the restaurant (make a reservation) but it was easy enough to order food and pick it up at the front desk.

Overall very nice hotel! Our room was quite small and the bathroom was freezing no matter what temp we had the room at. All very minor things! We did have an employee knock on our door at 9:30 to see if we were still there it did wake us up so make sure you use your do not disturb sign!
