We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hyatt North Shore while in town for a Pirates game. The property is a block away from the stadium, felt very safe, had adequate parking, and the room was a great size.

Really disappointed with this hotel. For the money this was not worth it. I have stayed in better hotels for 1/3 the price. I made my reservation online 6 weeks prior for two queen beds. I was booked a single king, and had two people. We made it work, and when this was mentioned the staff didn’t seem to care at all. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, and this seems to be an outdated facility. It was nice enough but not nearly worth the price tag. I also was not told prior to the stay that parking was not included(again - for the price of this room how can you not include parking? This may have been due to the event, but still. High prices with a la carte services with a mediocre hotel experience is not fun). And then to top it off there was one car per room maximum, that I was also not notified about prior to the stay. I then had to scramble to find overnight parking that was close, and eventually did, but had to walk a half mile or more to the hotel from there. All in all just very disappointing stay. It was comfortable and quiet, and the best part was actually the breakfast. I have no intention of ever staying there again and would rather go out of my way to get a better hotel for a better price despite its location. I’ve never spent this much on a hotel in my life and I may never again if there is no discernible difference between this “upscale” hotel and a holiday inn express. At least there is not enough of a difference to justify the price.

Close to lots of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall condition of the hotel is poor. Room smelled like a sock and had a gross looking stain on the couch. End table was really grimy looking. Everything else was fairly clean but i probably wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to stay in Pittsburgh. Right next door to the ball park, 5 minute walk to football stadium, and 30 minute walk to ppg arena. Lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Very safe and friendly area to explore.
