Great place if your not sleeping there

Posted Jun 27, 2017
Pros: The gym, the pools, the food all amazing. The wait staff were super friendly and helpful to my wife who has Celiacs disease and cannot have wheat.
Cons: Management. Customer service on the desk. Taking care of guest who have problems. Funny thing is I gave a presentation on Value to my company. Ironic
Location: Disney Springs is 2 miles away with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Each night we were able to see the fireworks from Disney.
Just returned from Wyndham Bonnet Creek for a work function. I thought I would get some down time and book a few days prior to the start of the event. Upon my arrival we were impressed with the beauty of the resort. I checked in and we headed to our room. As we entered my wife discovered black hairs over many of the towels in the bathroom. Then my daughter pointed out that the tub was dirty. Then we sat on the bed to find a stain in the sheets and the nightstand covered in dust. I called the front desk and we were given another room and the promise to have the bellmen move us. 45 minutes later we moved ourselves. This room was 1/2 the size of the room we paid for and a view overlooking the concrete garage, not the golf course. We were moved again. This room was perfect, we thought. We went to dinner and when we returned we noticed it was warm. When we woke up it was 74 in the room with the a/c set at 65. We called again. Maintenance fixed it. Then it was down again. This happed 4 times in a day and a half. It was colder in the hall and gym than our room. I literally opened the door to let in air from the hallway one night. I finally had to get our corporate conference manager involved. He got the same response as I did. NOTHING from the managers. He had to use their conference manager. They moved us the 4th time on our last day. Promised it by 9 am. It was 1:00 pm when we got it. Not once did I hear from a manager and the front desk took my calls as a pain.

Great for families, but Beware Hidden Fees

Posted Jun 15, 2017
Pros: Pools, Beds, and cleanliness
Cons: Arcade should not charge tax to children. Resort and Parking Fees $$$$$ Maids should speak enough english to communicate basic things like towels, et
Location: Order Pizza from "Flippers" the Hotel food is over priced and not great. The Hotel Drinks are good though.
My children and I loved the Wyndham Grand Hotel pools and beds. Our three days at Disney were drizzled with rain and clouds, but the Hotel pools remained open as long as lightning and thunder were not present. There was enough pool variety to keep my children entertained. The food was decent (we are from New Orleans so its a high bar to reach:)) The rooms and grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Everything smells lovely. I was not happy about the arcade. we purchased play cards and were charged TAX on every dollar played, that was a rip off! We bought our tickets at Travelocity, When we arrived at the Wyndham Grand we were informed we would be charged an EXTRA $20/day for "RESORT FEES" and another $20/day for "PARKING" this was an extra $40/day PLUS TAX on that $40/day, we did not budget for. Our rooms were very clean when we checked in. The daily cleaning however left something to be desired. I had to ask for clean towels, cups, shampoo, and other basic things that should have been delivered without asking. This was made even more difficult because the maid informed me she did not speak english. Jumped through hoops to find a way to communicate. tsk tsk. Hope this review helps families budget accordingly.

It was okay

$20 parking fee no one tells you about. On top of everything I paid on this site I was charged an additional $110, I parked 2 nights. I ordered 4 bottles of water...it doesn't add up. The bus to and from th parks is around $16+ for each person round trip, so I figured it's easy to rent a car. You can rent a car across the street at the Hilton, which is convenient. Universal was about a 20 min drive, we skipped Disney, visited some nice areas. The hotel is nice, food is decent, but many activities close at 11 except a bar or 2. I would have had a better experience had I been aware of all the additional fees, but it was a pretty nice stay minus the hidden cost that you can't avoid once you get there from out of town, that part is not cool and puts a doubt in my mind about future stays or recommending the place.

Nice hotel and property but...

Great hotel .. the most comfortable beds I've slept in. But be careful because they have a lot of hidden fees. Plan atleast a extra $40 a day in fees.

We will return again next year!

I'm a bit of a hotel snob but found Wyndham Grand to be convenient, clean, good food, friendly staff - our second time to stay and will definitely return again.

beautiful place, staff not so much

Wonderful room, facilities top notch did not sample food but looked great. Front desk staff were wonderful but the concierge was very difficult to deal with to the point we walked away and went to the front desk where we got excellent assistance.

Very nice hotel, but service was lacking

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: The grounds are great, especially for the kids. Our boys loved the lazy river the best..
Cons: The service at the Back Bay Bar & Grill... It was bad...
Location: Great location to Disney World. Just minutes away from all the parks & other resorts.
The hotel and grounds are very nice and well kept. A great place for couples or families. We do not recommend the Back Bay Bar & Grill however. Both times we ate there the service was absolutely horrible. Each time there our waiters took a good 10 minutes to acknowledge us. Then both times they took our orders then disappeared until our food came out. We ended up having to walk over to the bar for refills, silverware, napkins, etc... I normally don't comment on something like this. But it happened both times we ate there, involving 2 different waiters. So the issue seems to be driven by a lack of proper management.

Booking Scam

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Pros: Nice lobby, if they don't boot you out of your room with no notice
Cons: Customer service was terrible
We booked a non refundable room 6 months prior to our stay. Upon arrival we were notified that we had been relocated to a much cheaper resort also owned by Wyndham. We were assured that we would be refunded the stay which we had paid for 6 months in advance and that our new room would be free. Five days later, neither of these is true. We have a pending charge of $61 for the B Resort and no refund for the Wyndham. Honestly, I don't remember ever being treated this poorly when traveling. This is a scam to get money for non refundable rooms in hopes that people change plans and don't show up. Otherwise, they would have at least notified me prior to arrival.
