Ill start with the positives. Storey Lake as a community was really great for our family. The proximity to everything we were visiting during our stay was very convenient. The pool area was perfect for kids and a great alternative to the expensive waterparks.
Unfortunately, the unit that we stayed was not what we were hoping for. When we arrived we immediately found several items needing repair and the cleanliness to be sub par. The walls and baseboards had lots of scuffs and handprints, handles and pulls on dressers were broken and attempts at superglue as a fix were present, handle on the dryer had blue tape holding in place, toilet paper holders were hanging out of the wall & several of the basic cooking utensils were missing (spatula, & medium sized frying pan to name a few). This check-in process was ok but required us to go through the property manager outside of VRBO app. Neighbors above us woke kids up multiple nights at 2-3am by talking on their balcony and running around their unit.
Overall we loved the Storey Lake Community but have learned our lesson. We won't be staying in a condo next time and we definitely wont stay at this specific unit again.
