Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Particularly the housekeeping. I found myself having to ask them to do basic necessities like vacuuminf the floor Or leaving clean wash clothes. The outrageous resort fee was supposed to include newspaper and daily coffee. However they only replaced the copy once during our entire stay there and no newspaper. At one point, I Discovered there was several dark stains on my comforter. I left them clearly displayed for the maid to see so that she would change it, however she did not and I had to intervene to make them bring me a clean one. The beds were made with only top sheets, no fitted sheets. They were not Re-tucked every day and instead just hung down so that the sheets were all balled up in wrinkled every night. Very uncomfortable sleeping experience. In addition to the housekeeping woes the breakfast buffet was outrageously priced at $35. Who pays $35 for breakfast per person? This hotel was also lacking in basic services such as decent cable television and Internet. The Internet was spotty at best and the cable TV is tied to the Internet so it cut in and out frequently. There was no on-demand content offered. As well as no information channel to tell you about things to do in the area. That same standard is available at almost any hotel you stay at in any resort town. This hotel, did not have that. Overall, I would not recommend a stay at the Alohilani. I feel confident you could do much better for your money.

Great night in Waikiki

We had a wonderful stay at Alohilani Resort. There was construction going on as they were finishing up renovations, but in spite of it, we still had a wonderful stay. Our view overlooking Waikiki beach was spectacular. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool and lounge areas. We did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant so I cant comment on that, but we were very satisfied with our stay.

Absolutely LOVE staff and facility @ Alohilani !!!

I couldn't join them, but my wife and daughter had the most incredible time. We will definitely go back as a family. The staff and facilities were excellent... Front desk, concierge, all staff were gracious, kind, smiling...couldn't have been better. They embody the spirit of Aloha, making their visit very special.

Under construction but the completed parts are top notch, especially the infinity pool and deck.

What a disappointment

Pros: The view from our room.
Cons: Staff including management need training in customer service. Update website with actual photos and not mocked photoshop ones that are misleading.
Location: Best thing to do is to rent a car and go explore!
This was our first trip to Hawaii. After doing all our research and reviewing photos and reviews we decided to book an ocean front premiere room at Alohilani Resort. The website was beautiful, photos were great, super excited and ready to make great memories. We first get there and our cab could not find the hotel anywhere on the map! After going round in circles we found out that they had renamed a previous hotel and it was under complete construction. Check in was simple but had to go out of the hotel, through the construction zone and into the tower to get to our room. 1 elevator was out of order, the hallway carpets were absolutely filthy and old and the entire place had a distinct odor. The actual room was beautiful with an amazing view, but starting from 7:30 AM through 6:30 PM we had the banging and drilling noises from the construction below. It was so bad that we couldn't stay in and relax. And by the way the photos on their website are all mock photoshop photos! Then we find out that the pool and spa are closed. We did try the breakfast buffet and that was another disaster. Not only it was pricey for what they served, they also had it open from 7:30-10-30 AM but they wanted to kick us out around 8:30 or had an option of paying an additional full meal amount for 2 to stay because their 'brunch' had to be set up and served. Overall it was terrible and not worth the money we spent.

Nice hotel, close to beach.

Pros: Beautiful outcome to their renovations from the previous especially their frontage and lobby area. Convenient waiting area for guests ride.
Cons: Waiting for renovation completion.
Location: Location is one of the best on Waikiki. Easy access to main street shopping and dining.
had no problem with very late check-in. hotel was still under renovation in the part where were staying. easy access to street exit. shuttle pick-up area at the airport was confusing at first, couldn't find their signage easily, but to and fro turned out alright. Overall it was a very good stay.

one of the best location in Waikiki

Pros: 1. Location, 2. Clean, renovated, and internet connected room. 3 Friendly staffs
Cons: 1. No laundry facility in the hotel, 2. Slow elevators in Beach building, 3. No clock in the room and only one trash bin in a bathroom
Location: I think one of the best locations in Waikiki for beach, dining, shopping, and people watching..
Check in (5/13/2017 - 5/19/2017) process was easy.. Stayed at ocean view room (1517) in the Beach building (15th floor, top is 17th) - Great view to the beach (you can see peoples who learn and enjoy swimming and surfing) from a sofa in the room and a balcony. The room has a small refrigerator and a safe box. The room was clean and renovated and the internet connection was good enough to watch various streaming services. Very good location - easy access to the beach, shopping, and many good dining places within a few minutes. No laundry in the hotel - Have to use outside one (3 minute walk from the hotel). The hotel was under construction in May 2017. The hotel was rated as 3 star and the lobby was smaller than typical Hilton or Marriott hotels but good enough to recommend to friends.

Construction Zone

The hotel lobby and ground floors are under daily construction.Under renovation. No pool at the hotel. Was told to use adjacent hotel. Loud and dusty. Get a higher up floor to avoid the noise. The renovated rooms are super clean and modern. Amazing view with large balcony. I was on the 38th floor and had no issues with the construction downstairs. The staff was top notch.
