"Great hotel in Rancho Mirage"
Pros: Great location -- close to everything, but quiet. Great views. Service was excellent. Cons: Oddly, rooms were small for a hotel of this quality. Beware of the dogs -- they are everywhere.

"Very Cute! We plan to come back w/ friends!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Triada Palm Springs! This was our first visit to Palm Springs and really enjoyed our selves. It was an anniversary trip, so we left the kids at home and were happy to enjoy the pool with all adults, i read reviews saying not exactly kid friendly. Which was perfectly okay with us, we did notice that they allow dogs and thought that was nice. The service and organic food at the hotel was so GOOD! Oh and we loved the LOCATION :) one block from downtown, So convenient! The hotel has beautiful villas and we plan to come back with your family reserve a large villas. The price for our 4 days stay, which included hot delicious breakfast every morning, and valet parking was so REASONABLE PRICED! I was even over charged and they refunded my credit card no problem. Service is great. Our only complaint was our room had a strong paint or chemical smell when it was locked up while we ventured around town, every time we came back to the room we would have to open the windows and air it out. Something that wasn't a big deal to us cause we run into this a lot of trips was the bed was a little firm :-/ but we have a very plush bed at home and like i said run into this when we vacation. Other we were very happy with our stay and they left a great impression for our First trip to Palm Springs!

" Great location but in need of upgrading "
Overall our experience was nice for a short stay. The hotel staff was great for the most part- all friendly and helpful! That staff was probably the best thing about the hotel! The hotel lobby is nice and modern in a minimalist sort of way. But the disappointing thing is the rest of the hotel didn't look as good- the elevator, hallways and outdoor entry to our room gave it the feeling of a 2 star motel! It definitely needs to be improved in that aspect! Although once we stepped into our room, it was good. The room is modern and spacious and bed was comfortable with extra pillows(which I liked!) . Only complaint is the bathroom which was in need of repair- toilet smelled & didn't flush well, the door hinges were loose and the shower pressure was really low. Also, the pool was clean enough but nothing great. Construction was being done outside of the pool area so wasn't good timing for us. The lounge chairs and other outdoor structures are old and need to be updated. The restaurant at the hotel had great food though and excellent service. So overall, it wasn't the greatest but satisfactory & pleasing for a 2-night stay!

"Needs improvement."
Although I am giving an overall good qualify...the hotel needs upgrades. Hallways are tired, carpet is out of style...seems boring....walls..lighting etc. The giant atrium area is very good....TV's, bars, all good. Staff was excellent...etc. Just went there in Sept. Water in the main pool was cold. Took a bit to get used to. I know it gets hot in the desert but Sept is a not as hot....and even if it is...the water was on the colder side. I still would recommend.

"Nice hotel!"
We went for the Desert Trip weekend and were not in the room all that much due to our schedule. However, the time we were in the room it was everything we expected. Comfortable, clean and no smell! Great parking and a nice little lounge in the lobby with performers nightly. The hotel was quiet which I appreciate being a light sleeper. Only bummer was our room was upstairs above the trash dumpster area and the trash trucks once in the AM were a little annoying. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"remote but nice"
We recently stayed for a few days after Xmas...the hotel and staff were very nice. Only issue is the distance from other amenities such as restaurants, shops or a place just to walk. Sits by itself about 15 minutes by car from downtown Palm Springs.

Every time I book a hotel room using travelocity, I get the worst hotel room that's located away from the pool and on the highest floor, even though there is a lot of space available.

Desert Hot Springs Hotel & Travel Guide

Early Spanish settlers decided to christen their new conquest, California, after recalling the folklore of a blossoming island oasis that was ruled by a mythical queen, Califia. As you travel toward your destination you imagine discovering the desert landscape for the first time—did they feel a sense of terror at the newness of the experience, or just unequivocal joy from finding such an astonishing territory? With visions of long forgotten royalty swimming in your head, you embark on your journey to Desert Hot Springs hotels with a sense of awe and mysticism.

    Exploring Desert Hot Springs

A warm wind pulses through the air around you and you catch your first glimpse of the steely San Bernadino Mountains—could this be paradise found? Palm tree-lined roads pave the way for your rental cars in Desert Hot Springs as you traverse 31 miles to Joshua Tree. With the California sun shining down gently on your back, you wander through wildflowers in the desert, blooming defiantly in the heat in stunning shades of gold and purple. Cacti and yucca plants catch your eye as you roam. Did early settlers also gaze upon this dry weather greenery, projecting images of newly formed civilizations? Meanwhile, a few miles away sits the opulence of hotels in Desert Hot Springs. There’s no doubt in your mind that the explorers of the past couldn’t have predicted such modern marvels, but then again, there’s no way for you to foresee how the landscape will change in the coming centuries. Regardless, you’re grateful to return to your accommodation, where a sense of the state has been preserved in not only its landscaping, but in the adventurous and optimistic spirit present in all who cross its doors.

Your skin feels crisp as you towel off by the pool and return to your room. The time has come to pack your things and continue with your exploration of Southern California. Hotels near Desert Hot Springs have treated you well, but also awakened a dormant curiosity in you. Will hotels in Palm Springs be even more worthwhile? And from there, will you continue on to Los Angeles, where you can gaze upon the final frontier—the Pacific Ocean? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for certain, you wish you could unabashedly deliver praise to queen Califia. Her legendary land turned out to be quite extraordinary, indeed.
