"Handy for friends to pick me up."
I was very disappointed that there was no information on the website that the restaurant was closed for renovations. I didn't have a car so getting breakfast was a challenge, especially because there was also not a microwave in the room. I expected a hotel and spa to have food available. The room was very nice and spacious.

"Weekend Getaway"
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant provided great food and great service. The pools were outstanding and well kept. Free parking and decent Wifi connection. Cons: Room needed a deep cleaning. The bathroom showed evidence of paint peeling and there was mold/mildew on the toilet. The beds were uncomfortable and new pillows need to be provided. Walls and baseboards need to be cleaned. Hotel carpeting, especially in the stairwells, need to be shampooed. Our room was cleaned even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door during our entire visit. This hotel was a "good" experience for the price and location of why we visited Palm Springs.

"I Love this Place "
Upon arrival there was plenty of parking. Checkin was fast and very friendly also very knowledgeable of the local area. The room was very nice, clean. Big fluffy towels, soft comfy bed and my own private patio/Balcony. The pools were clean with an abundance of lounges and chairs. The staff is on it. No one banging on my door at checkout time. The bar onsite is awesome. Little cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner, very affordable prices. The gift shop with a variety of various sundries. This place is Awesome. Thank you Vince, Justin, Alex, Rose and Scott you guys Rock.....Definitely will be back

"Perfect place to just RELAX!"
Lido Palms is the only place that my wife & I will stay in Desert Hot Springs. We bring along a nice flower boquet and some extra special foods and make good use of the full kitchen. The place is just our style: small, quiet, relaxing. Great pool and jacuzzis, nice staff, excellent housekeeper. We have been coming here for many, many years and have enjoyed every visit.

Desert Hot Springs Hotel & Travel Guide

Early Spanish settlers decided to christen their new conquest, California, after recalling the folklore of a blossoming island oasis that was ruled by a mythical queen, Califia. As you travel toward your destination you imagine discovering the desert landscape for the first time—did they feel a sense of terror at the newness of the experience, or just unequivocal joy from finding such an astonishing territory? With visions of long forgotten royalty swimming in your head, you embark on your journey to Desert Hot Springs hotels with a sense of awe and mysticism.

    Exploring Desert Hot Springs

A warm wind pulses through the air around you and you catch your first glimpse of the steely San Bernadino Mountains—could this be paradise found? Palm tree-lined roads pave the way for your rental cars in Desert Hot Springs as you traverse 31 miles to Joshua Tree. With the California sun shining down gently on your back, you wander through wildflowers in the desert, blooming defiantly in the heat in stunning shades of gold and purple. Cacti and yucca plants catch your eye as you roam. Did early settlers also gaze upon this dry weather greenery, projecting images of newly formed civilizations? Meanwhile, a few miles away sits the opulence of hotels in Desert Hot Springs. There’s no doubt in your mind that the explorers of the past couldn’t have predicted such modern marvels, but then again, there’s no way for you to foresee how the landscape will change in the coming centuries. Regardless, you’re grateful to return to your accommodation, where a sense of the state has been preserved in not only its landscaping, but in the adventurous and optimistic spirit present in all who cross its doors.

Your skin feels crisp as you towel off by the pool and return to your room. The time has come to pack your things and continue with your exploration of Southern California. Hotels near Desert Hot Springs have treated you well, but also awakened a dormant curiosity in you. Will hotels in Palm Springs be even more worthwhile? And from there, will you continue on to Los Angeles, where you can gaze upon the final frontier—the Pacific Ocean? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for certain, you wish you could unabashedly deliver praise to queen Califia. Her legendary land turned out to be quite extraordinary, indeed.
