This was our 2nd stay here. Johnny is great & took good care of us on our 1st visit. We drive straight thru from WA to Desert Hot Springs for Dr appts, it takes 21 hrs & he got us right in to a room at 10:30am even tho you were full the night before. We arrived at noon on 2nd visit, were not greeted with a smile at the front desk, was told the hotel was full the night before, there were no rooms available & check in was not til 4:00. We explained we had again driven all night & last time was able to get in to a room early do to an early check out & room that had been cleaned "That is not possible, we were full last night, there are no rooms yet cleaned, I can call you if one comes available before 4:00" I did not see her name tag. We went to our car to stretch out & wait, I kept watching to see if she left the front desk area. At 1:00 I noticed she had & Johnny was now at the front desk. We went back in, he remembered us, greeted us with a smile & welcomed us back. He checked & found a King room that had been cleaned & ready on the 2nd floor, mountain view, exactly what we had made a reservation for, he got us checked in immediately & into our room. We will be traveling to Palm Springs 6 times a year for Dr visits & thought we'd found a decent $ friendly place to stay. We will give u one more try, if the front desk is as unwilling & unhelpful again,it will be the last. Rooms are old yet clean, hallways are unkept & carpet is stained, many jets are broken in the spas.

The best thing would have to be the pools and the remote location of the resort. Rooms are very average and outdated, but the price tag is appropriate. The main sauna was not properly functioning with one button missing/broken to increase heat to 140 degrees. The female locker room sauna took a long time to heat up as well, which wasn't my experience in the past few years visiting. Spa staff service varied greatly from individual to individual.

It was the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The shower had black mildew stains and the tile grout had link mildew grime. The shower head was full of soap scum as well. The toilet had black streaks and obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a long time either. Our dead bolt had been busted open from the outside in but they didn’t bother to fix it so we couldn’t properly lock our door. The elevator had a bullet hole in the door that they didn’t bother to fix either. The looks was cloudy and open 24 hours yet so dark you can’t see where you’re walking and I almost fell in a pond because I couldn’t see it. The walls and floorboards in room and hallways are dingy and scuffed everywhere. The luggage carts were rickety and broken and there were several shady cats that wander the parking lot and follow you to the door.

Dear Cristina, Thank you for letting us know. The hole has recently been brought to our attention, however this is a required safety measure by our elevator company, so we are working on a better fix. We routinely sanitize our bathrooms and replace curtains and padding many times throughout the year. And all rooms are expected to have working dead bolts which is also on the door knob and is electronic. We hope you can try us again, as we are guaranteeing a better room in the future ask for the managers special rate!

Seems like all of the resorts in Desert Hot Springs are pretty old but Miracle Springs has been kept in good shape. All of the pools and hot springs are working, place seems very clean, everything looked good and worked well in our room. We've stayed here before so knew what to expect. The one thing I would recommend if you're an early to bed person is, if you have a pool view room and a light sleeper, is to bring ear plugs as the pools are open 24 hours and some people bring things like speakers for their phones and such to listen to when they're soaking. That noise kind of echos off buildings. I prefer exterior rooms for that reason and I don't care about a view.

I've stayed here before and remember it being so clean and relaxing. This time around it seemed like nothing had been changed or cleaned. The rooms smelled so bad. The couch in the room looked like it had been picked up from the corner of the street. The chairs outside were dirty. We were checked into a room that was already checked into. It was just not a pleasant experience. Will not come back.
