"Nice hotel!"
We went for the Desert Trip weekend and were not in the room all that much due to our schedule. However, the time we were in the room it was everything we expected. Comfortable, clean and no smell! Great parking and a nice little lounge in the lobby with performers nightly. The hotel was quiet which I appreciate being a light sleeper. Only bummer was our room was upstairs above the trash dumpster area and the trash trucks once in the AM were a little annoying. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"Relaxing Stay! We'll be back!"
My wife found Colony Palms on Travelocity. We were looking for a quick getaway with our kids and Palm Springs is one of our favorite places to go. The Colony Palms feels like a secret resort instead of a bland hotel. Very beautiful, classy look and VERY clean. The staff are very friendly too. The food is outstanding as well as the pool and spa. We had 4 people (2 adults 2 kids). The room was a little small but we managed. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of communication between my online request and the first room we were given. I requested a double bed online at Travelocity along with a bath in the room. However, when we arrived a 4pm for check in, we were given a single bed, no bath. I requested a double bed but housekeeping wasn't ready. We waited in front of the new, double bed room for one hour and the room was cleaned and ready all along (!) There was an apparent miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. I would also like to recommend that the staff be a little more generous and offer an upgrade when these things happen. I requested an upgrade but got denied, even though the hotel clearly had plenty of vacancies. Aside from this glitch, my family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of peace and quiet :)

"A nice hotel to stay with kids"
I checked in at night, and it took a few minutes for the staff to finish their conversation to notice me standing there. On my very last day, I was told that there was mini parties that I missed that I was not aware of, and it would have been great to know about that when I checked in. Also, I was told, there was some kind of child activity center for the kids. That would have been great to know in advance. When I walked in my room, there was a piece of trash on the floor, and the potato chips were opened and left on the counter. They had not been eaten just opened. Strange. I would thing housekeeping would notice. There is a little mini bar, but it is not refrigerated in the room. Who wants to drink hot juice? The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The water park is so lovely for the kids, but a few of the fountains were not working on the splash pad. Also, they shouldn't leave the tubes in the water with no one in them. I loved the poolside service. What can I say, but Luis and Monte's service was amazing despite having the kitchen run late three days in a row. At least, their customer service kept me from writing a review online on yelp. The food on the menu did not quite match what came out to the table. Ingredients were missing or the descriptions on some items were incorrect. I was told they have one kitchen for the restaurant, room service, cafe, and poolside service .

We live in San Diego & came out to the Desert for a little R & R. The hotel had fun themed rooms - ours was the Rat Pack. The pool area was clean and the pools sparkled. We came home refreshed! I would recommend this hotel to couples.

    Visiting Indio

Just 20 miles from Palm Springs, hotels in Indio, CA invite you to discover the beauty of the Coachella Valley. Deep blue skies are dotted with the crowns of palm trees, and at sunrise and sunset, pink and purple light tinges the distant blue mountains. Walk through canyons shaded by fringed palms and delight in the surprising appearance of a desert waterfall.

And if you feel moved to express your happiness, dance to live music or applaud the performers at one of the many festival stages.

If the Coachella Valley beckons you further afield, head eastward towards the bright lights of Palm Springs. The Travelocity app makes it easy to find the best Palm Springs hotels so that you can find out for yourself what generations of celebrities have seen in this stunning desert jewel.
