Flights into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) are scheduled by 42 passenger airlines, 20 of which provide international service. Heading to more than 100 destinations, both within Canada and around the globe, flights into Vancouver International are served in two terminals: the regional airline terminal and the international terminal.
Located on Sea Island, in Richmond, British Columbia, YVR is just 12 km from the city of Vancouver. Access to the city center and environs is provided by traditional taxi, bus, and rental car options, but efficient and convenient service is also provided by Canada Line Rapid Transit Rail Link running on 10-minute intervals.
If you are flying to Vancouver International Airport, you will find good choices for dining; shopping for travel needs such as books, music, fashions, and souvenirs; and an extremely convenient hotel, layover/day spa, and health club. In addition, several duty-free shops are perfectly poised for retail therapy in the international terminal. A luxury designer outlet collection of shops, planned for spring of 2015, will enhance Vancouver International's already plentiful shopping experience.
