The staff was courteous Im a non smoker and my room smelled like stale smoke. Parking was extremely expensive. I have always enjoyed a luxury experience previously at the Pan Pacific, however I feel that I got a sub standard room (close to the elevators and ice machine). Perhaps it was because I took advantage of a 50% off sale.

For a high end hotel it was disappointing that one of the phones did not work, no bar soap in the bathroom, ordered room service and although the food was tasty it was luke warm including the coffee. The swimming pool and hot tub need maintenance. The jets barely worked and the tiles need repair.

Upon check in, we were greeted by friendly staff, right from the door man to the reception. Our room was very spacious with a beautiful night view of Lions Gate Bridge, Christmas lights on Howe Street and Stanley Park. I’m sure the daytime view would be amazing on a clear day. Breakfast had quite a variety of options from fresh fruit to eggs Benedict. Our table was cleaned promptly so we could sit and enjoy the view while drinking our morning coffee
