It is a beautiful and very comfortable property close to the cruise ship port in Vancouver. The staff is the most helpful and friendly that I have ever seen.

The ultimate hotel experience

We booked a room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim knowing that the overall experience would be good, but what we got was GREAT. When you arrive at the Pacific Rim you are promptly greeted by courteous and savy staff who make you feel both welcome and special at the same time. We ordered room service and not only was our food delivered in a timely fashion, it was served with flourish and it was delicious. Everything was exactly as we ordered and it (sadly, this rarely happens!!) was hot and fresh! We don't normally use the turndown service but we were tickled pink when we returned to our room to find the bed turned down and slippers eagerly awaiting our feet and our bathroom set up for our nightly washing and brushing! I also have to comment about two things that are very important to me: decor and cleanliness. Both are surperior. The common areas are gorgeous and the rooms are decorated beautifully with a modern westcoast flair. There is a reason why the Fairmont chain has such a reputation, and this hotel is the epitome of class, service and luxury.

The ultimate Vancouver weekend getaway.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, simple hotel layout, really nice hotel lounge with fireplace, great staff!, next to the water with amazing views
We were looking for a nice weekend getaway to Vancouver for some sightseeing, eating and most importantly, relaxation! After two days at this hotel, I think we found our go-to spot in Vancouver. The staff in the hotel is VERY helpful and polite without being over-the-top. Our hostess the first day helped us get into a room with the view we wanted and remembered us every day we walked past the front desk. Even checking on where we were headed and asking us how it was when we returned. Good memory! The location in the city is perfect and Vancouver's transportation system is excellent for getting around. The room itself was excellent! We walked in and felt like kings! The design of the room suited our tastes perfectly with something for everyone. Giant Plasma for me and huge soaking tub for her, awesome minibar for both. It was truly hard to leave. As I said, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Sweet deal or no.

Excellent Hotel, Poor Customer Service

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: below average customer svc
This hotel was WAY too sophisticated and WAY too snooty. The front desk acted as if they would only serve celebrities or the really rich or important people... Very Unfriendly service.

Love at first sight

I loved this hotel. The room on the Gold Floor was spectacular and the view was amazing. The Bathroom was beautiful. The staff on the Gold Floor were exceptional, friendly, and professional. They made the stay extra special. The lounge on the Gold Floor was a nice treat to unwind. The food was delicious, The lounge in the lobby was very modren and funky. Great music and ambience. The spa was a perfect place to unwind. Great steam room and showers. The massage felt like heaven.

Beyond expectation!

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel. First the lobby, the room, the views, the location and then the service - it was simply perfect!!! Cannot wait to go back. The soaker tub and a TV incorporated in the bathroom's mirror; could not ask for anything different! The hotel is just across the street from convention center close to the seawall, gastown and Robson street; we did not use the car even once over the week end.
