The room was fine, the location of the hotel is great. The problem...horrendous parking information. We have a Ford Explorer with a Yakima rack...height is about 6'8". It took us 90 min to find a parking spot for our Explorer. It was 1 block away, at a cost 2x what you parking fees were. Suggestions: 1) Clearly state the height restrictions for your hotel parking (6'6"). 2) Do NOT send folks who won't fit to an alternate parking location that has the same 6'6" height restriction! 3) Create a list of nearby parking lots that allow 24 hr parking. Note their height restrictions and the cost.

The breaker had blown and was greeted with a dark room and had to ask for help. The floors are old wood floors with carpet so I could hear the squeak of every single footstep upstairs all night. It smelled quite bad. In fact my clothes still stank when I got home.

Good Place to Stay

Our room was small but adequate for our purposes (a place to sleep and shower before and after sightseeing). Room was very clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is excellent; within walking distance of the waterfront, Gastown, etc. I thought it would be noisy due to its downtown location, but it was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast in the adjacent UVA restaurant was excellent,

Staff was very helpful! Parking is across the street and a little tricky to navigate, but not a serious issue. Building is older so spaces were tight at times and floors uneven, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

We wanted something downtown with convenience to go shopping or go to eat. It was these things and also very clean and staff was friendly. We were able to have breakfast in the building, which was a bonus. It checked off all the boxes.

Great location, ok for short stays, very noisy

Great location. Rooms are tiny along with the bathrooms. Old hotel so the musty aroma is definitely present. The staff were amazing and while they cleaned our rooms well, the carpet and other decor were very dated. Vancouver hotels are pricey so this was a lot less expensive but I wouldn’t stay here for more than 2 nights. I’d you didn’t want a room overlooking the alley(quieter)you got the street and it was very loud. Pack ear plugs or blinders depending on your choice

Their hotel is located in a very convenient part of the city, and the staff are friendly and helpful. But the hotel itself did not feel worth the price. Just outside my room’s door, there was a large hole in the ceiling with a bucket placed in the floor underneath it. The air conditioning was terribly loud all night long, like an aircraft, so I turned it off and let the room get hot. A group of people talked loudly in the hallway at 2am for more than a half hour, and, absent the noise of the AC, there was very little sound insulation to keep their noise out of the room. For $100 more, there are hotels within blocks that feel like a true a luxury experience. This was not a truly terrible hotel stay, but it was not nice.

We had a nice stay. Great location, lovely cocktail bar, super lovely staff. Clean and tidy rooms. The building is a bit old/dated but well maintained. Easy walking to shops, restaurants, bars and a nice walk to the dockside. Would recommend for the price.
