The waiters, housekeepers and Nubia at Kids Club was very pleasant. The room were always clean. The staff at the reception desk could do with a bit more customer service skills, especially the manager Lesly. Their machines were down, they do not accept cash and I had to go back and forth for almost an hour to pay $25. Lesly never apologized,instead she chose to speak to Alejandro in Spanish when I was standing right there. He acted as a translator, meanwhile another guest walks up to Lesly and she speaks perfect English. The issue was on their end andas the manager, Lesly did not even acknowledge that, she chose to ignore me. They certainly need to do better.

Excellent service, amazing view of the ocean

I was a bit skeptical at first about the hotel, but as soon as we have arrived I realized it was going to be one of the best travel experiences ever. The staff is just amazingly helpful, and they always put their guests first. We booked a day trip to the Mayan ruins and a water park through the hotel and received 45 percent off of the entire price. And when my little sister's name was spelled wrong on one of the souvenirs that we got along the way, the concierge (Mr. Adrian Gonzales) contacted the tour company, and made them go back to the souvenir shop and exchange the souvenir with no extra charge, and bring them to our hotel before we left. It was so thoughtful, and made my sister's day. The pools are always crowdy, but very pleasant nonetheless. If you want to go to ant place else, even downtown, you can just get on the bus for 1 USD per person and get wherever you want. It's a walking distance from the ocean, so you can just go in at your pleasure. Anyway, the overall experience was amazing, and I would definitely recommend Westin Resort and Spa to anybody going to Cancun.

Their employees need to get trained

I got moved from room because the room I got was falling apart. The waiters at the restaurant they are rude and have attitudes .No customer service what so ever.

When choosing hotel I chose a king bed however when I arrived I was told there were no king bed available. Me and my wife were given 2 full beds. If I had known my bed choice was only a request never would have book this hotel. Secondly the pillows were way to soft and flat we had to use the pillows from other bed. Besides this the hotel staff was very friendly and informative. Sport bar and other restaurants food was good.

The rooms were not as shown in the property preview. They showed us the hotel contemporary but past the lobby the hotel was 1920 or so old. No microwave,terrible refrigerator and coffee machine.Hotel staff was excellent and courteous.The ocean view was nice but the window only opened 3 inches so you could hear the ocean but not feel it. Lots of ongoing construction and noise.Please post correct pictures of the rooms in their present condition so guests can make the right decision.

The construction is a huge bummer and should be disclosed prior to booking. The hotel is also at the end of the hotel area and inconvenient to get around. The restaurant/pool staff had limited customer service skills, the food was expensive and mediocre and the room was outdated.

Nice hotel. Great location

The facilities were good and the hotel is under going renovation and promised to be better. The staff was the best part and took care of us excellently. I loved the location, as it was away from the busier north end of the hotel zone. It felt more laid back and relaxed.

If looking for fancy resort to sit on beautiful beach, enjoy a panoramic view, and be pampered then this is for you. Room rate was decent value, clean, and comfortable but expect to spend plenty for drinks and food (not sure about activities cost since was there only one night) if you don't venture out. Location is isolated, well away from hotel zone area with more variety and reasonably priced restaurants, shops, and night life. Fortunately getting to and from that section is quite easy and inexpensive if you walk back down to the main road entrance where the local bus stop is close by. Of course, taking a taxi is an option if you prefer. No convenience store in hotel or nearby. Check in staff was intrusive without explanation, not very welcoming, bordering on surly.
