We stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa and had a wonderful time! It was all due to the staff; from the reception staff, cleaning crew, restaurant crew, the amenities crew, lifeguard, even the nice people reminding the guest to wear their mask, they were always extremely friendly and helpful. I had my concerns about COVID protocols, but the staff at this hotel made me feel comfortable; they were all wearing their masks at all times, the rooms, pools and all public areas were constantly sanitized. The room itself was a bit old, but clean and comfortable, but the best asset this hotel has is the staff, I hope they are paid well because they are one of the reasons we would be coming back.

The our first room smelled like urine. The new room they gave us was leaking water from the Ceiling and when I went to take a shower the water came out brown and had a smell to it. When I complained they just let the water run and said it was clear but I workn up the next day after showering with my eyes irritated. My Bulova watch was also taken from my room and when I made I report the property manager stated that they are not responsible for property missing from my room when the only people who went into my room was the maintenance and housekeeping staff. The breakfast buffet had cold food setting out o my thing fresh where the omelettes. The hotel is location in a very inconvenient place far from any attractions and you are forced to have to take a taxi to do anything which becomes very expensive as one of the taxis charged me $42 to take me about 4 to 5 miles at max. Many of the amenities/activities shown on the pictures/site where closed. It was the worst experience ever. Especially as my watch was never found and the way they handled the situation was just enraging.

We loved how new the hotel was, very clean and the staff was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. They were ALWAYS cleaning, and made sure to follow guidelines during these times. I cannot express how happy I was to stay at this hotel. Charlene from concierge was amazing! She had great recommendations and helped us book our excursions. Juan from the Arena restaurant was our favorite mixologist! He made delicious drinks and his service was outstanding! Our first time in Cancun and we will definitely be back to the Westin Cancun.
