This truly is a paradise! The staff is amazing, the food is the best with so many different wonderful options, the beach is heaven on earth! This hotel is like a mini city with everything you might need for a fantastic time. It's completely safe for families, and i just couldn't be happier with my trip! I plan on going back soon!

What I like the most is the friendly staff. Always with a big smile! They will also go above and beyond anything you ask for. The only problem I encounter this time was the check-In. It took 1 hour for me to check in

I cannot compare it to other all-inclusives, as this was our first experience, but we really enjoyed our time at Paradisus! Check-in was fast & easy; someone sat down with us & explained the property amenities which was very helpful & informative. Biggest take away: DOWNLOAD THE MELIA APP! It made making reservations so easy! We opted for the basic lagoon view room. It contained your typical hotel amenities and was clean/well taken care of. We don't spend a lot of time in our room on vacation so this was perfect for us. The property is a great size, it seems large but you can easily get from one side to the other. It was very well taken care of, even for it's older age. The grounds are gorgeous, offering fantastic views of the beach at every corner. There are 9 restaurants & several bars; reviews of ones we went to: Bana: Good sushi/Japanese food; go after dark for a more romantic vibe Mole: Twist on traditional Mexican food; highly recommend Fuego: Peruvian food; really liked but not my favorite Enso: Asian; I really enjoyed the dumplings & fried rice Blue Agave: GET THE POBLANO QUESADILLA Coco's Beach Bar: Went here everyday/has hooka Avenue Bar: Went everyday for pre/post dinner drinks Red Lounge: Pretty dead while we were there The service is fantastic! Everyone was helpful and cheerful. We were never hounded to buy anything additional. Waiters continuously offering beverages in the beach area. Overall, we highly recommend this resort! It was a great value!

Nice hotel- understaffed for the season. Hotel boasts several restaurants- but all are small with limited capacity and slow service. The food was bland- not at all what one would suspect of a 4.5 star hotel. My normal Cancun hotel chain is the Rui. Paradisus by Melia does not compare either in elegance - or design. The hotel opens to virtually to a center restaurant. The smell is over powering of incense.and oils. The entertainment was average. Not the best stay

The hotel staff is very attentive, helpful and professional. I really enjoyed that aspect and feeling well taken care of. The major complaint I have is that in this entire beautiful resort there is not ONE hot tub available. Not a single jacuzzi on the beach, in the spa, by the pool - no where! This was the biggest disappointment. I find the advertisement of the whirlpool at YHI spa very misleading because they fail to mention that the water is COLD! Who wants to get into a vat of cold bubbling water??!! Nor are any of their swimming pools heated, so one has to contend with very cold temperatures if you want to take a swim. Again, extremely disappointing. The restaurants and food selections were great, and the drinks were awesome. The place is very clean and use of the lush plants all throughout makes for a very beautiful, unique eco-friendly experience. Overall it is a great place to enjoy.

Two Thumbs Up

Pros: All the lobbies in each pyramids were stunning! The spa/water hydration treatment was amazing! I liked having aquaworld across the st for excursions
Cons: FOOD! Just bad...dont know how but it was. However, the chocolate fountain in the royal service lobby is amazing.

Resort was absolutely beautiful. Staff was very nice. Everywhere you went, the hotel smelled so good...even down to the toliet paper! Only thing I was disappointed in was the food. The restaurant by the pool/beach was awesome but the places inside were not. I went with a group of 10 adults and 3 got sick after eating at Vento. Just the overall experience with food, I wasn't impressed. I would hands down stay here again BUT eat offsite! Also, wasn't that impressed with the night life. Not that I wanted dance club but just felt it was missing night lift...and the Red Lounge is really small! No complaints about the room or bed or pillows.

Great All-Inclusive

Pros: It had great views and beach access, but the stars were the staff.
Cons: It seemed like they need to replace some window seals (we had a lot of rain on the vacation, and they had some interior leaks)
Location: We stayed on property for the entire trip.
I had to unexpectedly shift my vacation from Cabo to Cancun because of weather. Luckily, I was able to book the Paradisus at the last minute at a great deal. The staff was fantastic - they took care of everything. We declined the upgrade to the adults-only side of the property, but even without it, it was great. The staff would make suggestions about food and beverage choices, they have a great tequila selection that's included. The spa was great - booked an 80 minute relaxing massage with Justina (Alfredo the spa representative was great too). We had fantastic bartenders and waiters (Victor was one of them). And they have great chilaquiles.
