Gay Friendly

Pros: Quiet.
Cons: Both our rooms were flooded with 1/2 inch of water during a storm. Sliding doors need to be better sealed. my sliding door had no handle on the bal
Location: Just luxuriate on site. No need to leave the place.
This is the first Cancun resort where we saw a number of friendly, discrete and professional gay couples. We were upgraded to Royal Service and will do that again when we return. Among the advantages: better food, service, and no children. Among the many cheerful and attentive employees, manager Daniel should be singled out. I left my prescription glasses on a table and he spent 3 days searching for them--successfully and then tracked me down in the pool. great guy! Thank you, Daniel.

Nice hotel with average food

Pros: Hotel has a lot of nice greenery inside that is really neat. Hotel has outside seating for dinner. Nice sandy beach. Service on the beach.
Cons: Food was disappointing. We had dinner at 2 of the restaurants and couldn't eat the food it was so bad and just got up and left and went to the buffet
Location: Location is on the hotel strip and its the same as any hotel on the strip. You can do the excursions the same as any hotel.
Same as any Cancun hotel, they do their best to get you to look at their timeshare. However, they were not overly pushy to purchase. Hotel has some really good features but some bad. Room was a little disappointing as I just thought it would be more modern. Not bad but just not great. Beach was nice with cabanas and servers for the all inclusive even on the beach. Most service was pretty friendly but best food in the place was at the buffet and that's not a good thing. Entertainment was limited to 45 minutes shows at night--which were really good but that was all the entertainment. No bands, no music, nothing else. We could never find the gym or exercise equipment. I would pick another hotel next time just because I know this one is not outstanding--just good or ok. Its hard not to have a good time here but I just expected more--maybe its my expectations? I do know the food at the restaurants is subpar for a restaurant of this caliber.

Best All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun

This was my second stay at Paradisus and I was not disappointed. The first was for spring break in college, this was for my honeymoon. Everything was perfect! From All-Inclusive meals, to fantastic service and just a beautiful resort. I want to return, again, with my entire family on both sides now. I want everyone important to me to experience this kind of vacation. Every single employee went above and beyond to ensure our trip was amazing. It was perfect!

ROOMS NEED A FACELIFT

Pros: Food, the lobby in the main building and the staff
Cons: the rooms in building 3
Location: everything is close by
While the staff is amazing and the food so delicious and the main building lobby area is absolutely gorgeous, it disappointed us in the room conditions. The rooms in the building 3 which is the main building with all the restaurants do need some major remodel.

Beautiful hotel, great spot, nice staff, huge pool

Pros: Beach was beautiful, pool was huge, every part of the hotel itself was nice from the hallways in the basement to the bathrooms
Cons: Food! Better quality meat, and food in general, and more variety!
Location: Everything is right near the resort, all of the clubs, all the nicest restaurants, but you really don't even have to leave the hotel.
Everything was awesome the view was good, the room was big, very clean, drinks were good and all of the staff were very friendly and nice. A few of the workers don't understand English though but majority of them did. The only thing that wasn't that good was the food! Didn't get the royal package so we couldn't go in 2 of the restaurants, but maybe there was better quality food and more of a variety there. The buffet was alright, didn't really like any of the food besides mashed potatoes and nachos with guac. Even the chips had a weird taste. Chicken and beef were very chewy and bland, and the sushi at Bana was questionable... very good miso soup and crab dip appetizer though. One night we had reservations for the outdoor Italian buffet, sat down and tried some of the food and we just left right after that... Went to Blue Agave Bar, very delicious, good quesadillas. Also open late night midnight til 5 and the sandwiches are good. None of the desserts anywhere were good, I've had much better in my high school cafeteria and that's saying a lot. All of the food ties together from each restaurant, its pretty much all the same food just cooked differently. Every restaurant was nice though and the entire hotel looks like a scene out of a movie. Waterfalls everywhere, koi pond in the sushi restaurant, Enso is poolside and very close to the beach. Definitely the nicest hotel in the area we stayed at, can't deny that. Everything was perfect except for the food!

The staff and the food was great!

Had a great time at paradisus, the food and the staff were excellent in particular 3 of your staff in the dining area Alberto, Cristian and Gaudencio. The only recommendation I have is to lower the set point in the room air conditioner. It was hot and humid at night which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Thanks

LOTS OF FOOD OPTIONS, NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL

Pros: GOOD FOOD, NICE POOLS
Cons: ROOM NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, LAY OFF THE TIME SHARE SELLING.
Location: NEAR AQUAWORLD
PROS: LOTS OF FOOD OPTIONS, 7-8 RESTAURANTS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD. KIDS CLUB THAT WILL WATCH YOUR KIDS AGED BETWEEN 2 AND 12 YEARS OLD BASICALLY FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT. MULTIPLE SWIM AREAS WITH DEPTHS VARYING FROM 1' TO 6'. SERVERS AND CLEANING STAFF OFFERED GREAT SERVICE. CONS: THE ROOM LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED. PATCHY AND BROKEN TILE IN THE BATHROOM, STAINED AND UNREPAIRABLE VANITY MIRROR, THE ABSOLUTE WORST AIR CONDITIONED ROOM I HAVE EVER STAYED IN: THE A/C WOULD BASICALLY SHUT OFF UNTIL THE ROOM WOULD GET HOT, AND THEN YOU WOULD RECEIVE A POLAR BLAST FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND THEN THE A/C WOULD SHUT OFF AND REPEAT THE PROCESS. THIS MADE FOR AN AWFUL NIGHT OF SLEEP, YOU WERE HOT FOR 5 MINUTES, THEN FREEZING FOR 30 SECONDS, HOT AGAIN, THEN FREEZING. YOU GET THE POINT. THIS ALONE WAS ENOUGH FOR ME NOT TO WANT TO RETURN TO THIS HOTEL. LASTLY, THE CONSTANT TIME SHARE BADGERING FROM PERSONNEL AROUND THE HOTEL MADE IT UNCOMFORTABLE TO JUST EVEN WALK AROUND. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF HOTEL EMPLOYEES HANGING AROUND THE HOTEL, AND IF YOU SO MUCH AS LOOK AT THEM, THE SELL BEGINS. MY WIFE AND I REALLY HATED THIS.
