Great experience at a good hotel.

This is the second time my wife and I spent our vacation at Barcelo Tucancun and both times we had a great experience.
As we arrived, the bell boys greeted us right away and helped with the luggage. The hotel has a brand new lobby and it's a huge improvement. The check in is 3PM, but we arrived around 11AM. The girl at the front desk was very nice, took our information, gave us our bracelets and told us we can use all restaurants, pools and bars, but our room would not be available till 3PM. I asked if we could get an ocean view room and she informed us that it's an extra charge so I declined. We left our luggage with the bell boys, had lunch at the buffet and hit the pool. We came back at 3PM - our room was ready. The bell boy led us to the room with our luggage and we had an ocean view room - I guess it doesn't hurt to ask! Our vacation was off to a great start!
The staff here is awesome! The first day, while enjoying drinks in the adult only pool, I was talking to Roque (the bartender) about the coconut palms around the pool and the next morning he greeted us with a coconut from one of the palms - he cleaned it up, opened a hole in it, spiked the coconut water inside of it and handed it to me! It was delicious! He made us feel welcome our entire stay! The lobby bar was also a great experience - Lorenzo was there every night and provided us with a great experience - he knew our drinks and had them ready right away every night!
The food is average for an all inclusive place.
