Cancun Beach Bum

Pros: Beach! Very clean and the staff is super attentive.
Cons: Food lack flavor and seemed like they served left overs for several days. Also lacked Mexico culture flavor. No Mariachis!
Location: Many shops within walking distance. Also can take public bus for less than a dollar to restaurants, and clubs. Relatively safe!

No tiene sombrillas en la playa

No tiene sombrillas en la playa, ni meseros. En la alberca Se supone que si hay meseros pero les falta mucha actitud de servicio.

Great hotel. Priced accurately.

The resort was very nice. Staff were friendly and efficient. The main buffet style restaurant was our least favorite. Small for a resort that size and the menu wasn't as good as the other eating options. The themed restaurants were great.

Nice hotel all inclusive

It was a beautiful ocean view. Beach and 3 pools ro choose from. There were activities during the day and shows at night so no need to leave the resort. Most of the staff were friendly. Food and drinks were included in stay, food was ok but had the worst enchiladas ever and if your not a gold member you get cheap alocohol. And wifi was not included in stay.

Muy buena ubicación, a 10 min caminando de La Isla

Pros: Con acceso a la playa. Muy buena ubicación. Solo a 10 minutos caminando de La Isla.
Cons: Colocar sombrillas en la playa, ya que la sombra de las palmeras es mínima. Debería tener servicio continuo de un mesero en la playa.
Estancia agradable. Solo por un fin de semana. Como negativo: Al llegar al hotel el viernes, luego del check in me recibio una persona que me indico las características del hotel y me entregó un presente; lo malo fue que trató de imponerme un desayuno donde me presentarían (durante 1 hora y media) la cadena Barcelo. Dije que no me convencia y que me preguntara al día siguiente si asistirá o no... nunca me preguntaron. Y el domingo 8 hs me despertaron llamandome a la habitación. Fui 2 dias a descansar, sin horarios ni compromisos... sin embargo, el teléfono me despertó.

Great experience at a good hotel.

Pros: It's a very reasonably priced hotel. The location is perfect, right on the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good shape
Cons: The food is about average. The pools could use a little TLC but they're not bad.
Location: The hotel is located on the beach. Next to it is the Kukulkan Mall - great. A block away is the La Habituela Sunset restaurant - great Mayan food.
This is the second time my wife and I spent our vacation at Barcelo Tucancun and both times we had a great experience. As we arrived, the bell boys greeted us right away and helped with the luggage. The hotel has a brand new lobby and it's a huge improvement. The check in is 3PM, but we arrived around 11AM. The girl at the front desk was very nice, took our information, gave us our bracelets and told us we can use all restaurants, pools and bars, but our room would not be available till 3PM. I asked if we could get an ocean view room and she informed us that it's an extra charge so I declined. We left our luggage with the bell boys, had lunch at the buffet and hit the pool. We came back at 3PM - our room was ready. The bell boy led us to the room with our luggage and we had an ocean view room - I guess it doesn't hurt to ask! Our vacation was off to a great start! The staff here is awesome! The first day, while enjoying drinks in the adult only pool, I was talking to Roque (the bartender) about the coconut palms around the pool and the next morning he greeted us with a coconut from one of the palms - he cleaned it up, opened a hole in it, spiked the coconut water inside of it and handed it to me! It was delicious! He made us feel welcome our entire stay! The lobby bar was also a great experience - Lorenzo was there every night and provided us with a great experience - he knew our drinks and had them ready right away every night! The food is average for an all inclusive place.

Nice hotel...

Paid for 5 eight months ago through Expedia yet Aeromexico and Barcelo Tucancun Hotel didn't have record of 2. Therefore, that set the tone for the arrival and departure. In addition, instead of arriving at 10:30am, we arrived at 8:30pm because copilot and flight attendant got sick on departure flight and it took Aeromexico that long to find replacements. We didn't receive notifications of the delays until we were in the airport.

Disneyland Version of Mexico

Pros: Great room with a beautiful view of the sea right at the sandy beach.
Cons: Wi-Fi should be free. There's no excuse. They are charging $7 per hour of the Internet. That's ridiculous.
Location: You're at the beach. The only nearby things are other hotels.
It's a very nice all-inclusive hotel. Which is a good thing if you're into this kind of experience. It's like being on a cruise ship. Food, drink, and beach. The idea is that you're not supposed to leave the hotel. Not even browse the Internet (wi-fi not included).

Pros: the food was ok on the buffet good serv
Cons: extend restarant hours and room serv give gift for your guess went they living the roof was was leaking water after the rainand i report it
Location: good ocean front the mallwas close by
went i was in center pool the bartender did not want to serv me and i wach he did serv 3 or 4 people after me it was on friday afternoon the drinks that he give before they were terrible you need to impruve the service on the bars at the pools and no asking that breafast to sell you staff were on vacation if you want to sale send free fly and free trip thank you
