Worst food, dated accommodations. Erratic water temperature in the shower all week long! Pool was just average. Alcohol was the lowest quality. Not worth the all inclusive price for such subpar food and beverages. Ended up eating and drinking outside the resort often. The only positive thing was that the staff was friendly and hardworking. And the beach nice.

Wonderful, very relaxing, good food , good shows at night, has three different restaurants, wait staff great!

Very clean hotel, beautiful beach!

We really enjoyed the pools & friendly pool side wait staff. Everyone was super friendly & accommodating to our needs. The Food was fair, comparable to other all-inclusive hotels. Only complaint is how pushy the greeters were for us to listen to their "non time share" seminar. Otherwise would recommend!!

Cancun Beach Bum

Pros: Beach! Very clean and the staff is super attentive.
Cons: Food lack flavor and seemed like they served left overs for several days. Also lacked Mexico culture flavor. No Mariachis!
Location: Many shops within walking distance. Also can take public bus for less than a dollar to restaurants, and clubs. Relatively safe!

Beautiful Hotel on the beach

Pros: Close to the beach and clean
Cons: Pool bars open a little bit later
Location: Great location. Close to the beach and to the mall
We had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The only issue we had were rude night front desk workers. They were very unfriendly and not helpful. All of the other staff was amazing! They definitely know how to make you feel welcome and pampered.

Excellent Cancun experience at Barcelo Tucancun

Pros: The staff stayed professional the entire time. Nobody lowered their professionalism over the course of the week of interacting with us. Important.
Location: Perfect location- right along the strip. Multiple malls and Coco Bongo a cheap busride away.
Our family vacation was exceptional at this location. Very clean, so clean, you never even saw the cleaning going on, the laundry being taken away, the room cleaning people at work, etc. The weather was supurb from Dec25-Jan2. The waves crashing and beautiful. The pools were clean and the water temperature of the pools perfect. No fighting for lounge chairs as there were plenty. Towels too were easily accessible with a card- you just turn in your old towel for a new one each day. Food-wise, everything was fresh. The cold dishes were cold, and the hot dishes hot. The buffets had so much variety- there is no way you could get tired of all of it. Now, itty-bitty things to improve upon include: the icecream was so creamy delicious that I wish it was available at the 24hr bar. I wish they had free wifi. And I do wish they had American tv stations such as NBC,CBS and ABC, but I don't know if that is feasible. Good or bad, I was removed from the world, the busy-ness, the electronic devices, the normal grind. In short, for our family of five (husband and I 50+yr olds, and three kids 20 yr,22 yr, and 24 yrs old), we all had a blast and would highly recommend staying here.

What a GREAT Time we had....

Pros: the decor of the resort...the friendliness of all the staff,the resturants are nice,,,food is wonderful...the beach is nice & quite during spring brea
Cons: They need to add more Umbrellas around the upper pool area....
Location: Mall is across the street....flea markets a short bus ride from resort
My wife and I were Celebrating 49th Anniversary and our granddaughter and her Husband were on their HONEYMOON.. We were soooo Surprised and Amazed at our rooms.....they had made a BIG HEART with bathroom towels with REAL RED ROSE petals in shape of a heart it was sooo thoughtful of the staff to do this...also had small plate of chocolate covered strawberries and a assortment of small desserts and a bottle of wine...this trip was memorable for all of us...I can't say enough for the staff at Barcelo Tucancun Beach...always nice and clean all over...the food is so delicious and nicely decorated.....the rooms are really nice and clean...I always recommend this resort to my family and friends...look forward to coming back real soon....

Wow!!! What a great find

This is a great resort-great location, nice service. It was like I was on a cruise ship-no need to leave the resort. The weather was perfect-rained during the night. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family. Already making plans to go next year, and stay here. Please don't read into other negative reviews-I'm picky and this was a great stay.

my negative experiance !

My family and I stayed at Barceló Tucancun, and had a negative experience. Customer service was the worst I have experienced in they years I have traveled. Our reservation was All-Inclusive however the food was not all that good, the buffet was the same food all 7 days. (No variety ) No food is allowed out of the restaurant area. Room service was not provided daily, I had to call in several times to have clean towels brought to our room. the pool hours state they are open tell 10:00pm yet staff closed the pools at 8:00pm and would give no reason as to why. Per my negative experience I will never stay at a Barceló Hotel again.
