The Guy making the Hotdogs everyday IS AMAZING!! He always is down to earth, Always makes great conversation of the guests. Overall, This would be my seventh trip to melody maker. The Hotel overall the AC wouldn't work on the 12th floor in our first room, and I had to call several times, they sent a maintainence person who never fixed it and told me to call back to the front desk. I was hung up on and eventually had to ask for a manager to be switched to a new room. Which was time consuming and sad but overall, The food is pretty good. The Mixed drinks definitely are watered down and not good, This is definitely a beer and wine place. This hotel is within shopping distance to the La ISLA Mall which is fabulous, Definitely check that out if you are a couple. The Pool Bar attendant was very rude, and looked as if he did not like his job. I asked for a glass of Champagne and was told that was "Extra Charge" Which we were not informed about prior to check in or there after. I enjoy the sparkling wine there it is very tasty. Overall- Catered to the kids over us, I wish the hotel service was like the hot dog stand guy he is great, and should be a manager honestly he listens to everyone and enjoys his job. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will be back but I wish the hotel would have better service and better drinks! Stop watering down the drinks!

The property has potential, but it is starting to get run down. The room we were in was an un-renovated room and was in need of repairs and upkeep (shower head had extensive calcium build-up, Jacuzzi tub on the balcony was also unusable due to filth and lack of cleaning/maintenance). We also booked an ocean view room with a king bed and balcony, but when we arrived on location one was 'not available'. The food options were limited and bland and the overall 'vibe' of the facility was lacking. Room service actually costs an extra $5US + tip (as they 'courier service' is not included). The bars were lacking in drink options and everything at the lower pool costs extra. One of their 'food options' is a literal food truck / shack that serves hot dogs and hamburgers (very disappointing). This 'all inclusive' has lots of hidden costs not known until you arrive at the location. However, we cannot fault the staff as they were excellent! That being said, we would not recommend this resort and we will not return.

I'd come back to this place in a heart beat. The food was decent and the staff was amazing. Everyone/everything was so organized. Me and my lady friends had such a great time. I did not want to come back. Until next time!

Rooms are outdated, shower door not closing, sink clogged. Very Very noisy, every night you will hear someone fighting on the hall, people running, drunks yelling and laughing. Stay here if you plan on drinking all day and partying til next day. Expect noise to wake u up at 2 or 3 am.

Great Hotel, would stay again!

Great hotel, huge pool. Rooms are very very clean. Walk in showers are big enough for 2 people. Great location within walking distance of the mall. My complaints are none of the hot tubes were hot. They were all cold. Also, the housekeeper didn't leave enough face towels. Even though it was 2 people staying in the room, she always gave us only 1 fresh towel. Toward the end of our stay, we started receiving medium size towels as wash cloths. I complained to the front desk and wash quickly given the proper towels.

This hotel is about a 7 out of 10. The service is good... everyone is very friendly.. loved the bartenders in bar downstairs... the only thing I was very dissapointed in was the food. Alot of the meals we ordered we werent really happy about. The quality of the food definitely lacks. If you want a great location... and dont care about the quality of the food then stay here. Beach was beautiful...

First visit to Cancun

The hotel was ok and the staff was super nice but this hotel is lacking in many places. It allows kids but there is no kids menu, nowhere for kids to play, and no changing table for babies. The room was ok expect ac wasn’t working well, the food as average nothing I can recommend to order, the hotel only has a Mexican, Italian and Asian restaurant oh and a food truck by the pool only service burgers (no fries), ribs and sometimes fish. Only one bar in the lobby and one by the pool that is all inclusive the delirio area is off limits unless you pay extra, no entertainment zero not even at night, the staff is nice and the place is clean. We visited Monday thru Thursday and the hotel was very quiet except for the loud music blasting on you way to the buffet that is open for breakfast and lunch, they use the same area for the Italian restaurant. The view are very nice but the pool that you can use is freezing most of the day if not all day, also if your more of a beach person take into consideration that any hotel on that side the beach is pretty much none useable bc the wave are to large and strong for anyone to go in.
