"Beautiful hotel and grounds "
It is a beautiful hotel with perfect grounds and size for a couples retreat. We went for our 33rd wedding anniversary and thought it was serene, quiet, and elegant. We prefer smaller resorts with excellent service. We found the service lacking in key areas but the facility pools, lobby, room, and proximity on the beach was incomparable to other all inclusive a we have visited!

"Fantastic stay in paradise"
This was our second trip to Hard Rock Punta Cana and we had a terrific time just as we did a year ago. The resort grounds, facility, restaurants, and staff are all superb. In particular the food / restaurants, drinks, pools and beach areas are superb. We enjoyed a Couple's massage, and our child highly liked the kid's club. Love the attitude / friendliness of the staff - they virtually all are smiling, friendly, and happy appearing. We will be back again, probably next winter.

"Graeat atmosphere "
Hotel staff are very energetic at the daily shows. They like to incorporate guest in the shows. Bartenders are great they always treat you with a smile. Only bad thing is they we were sucked into a seminar for hotel clubs which was our only disappointment of our trip. The room was in a great location in the property next to the pool and very close to the beach although very far from the restaurants nd lobby but worth it. The restaurants were amazing 3 course dinners everytime and excellent meals..including the buffet

"Nice all-inclusive resort with beautiful beaches."
This was our first trip to the Iberostar Bavaro resort. Access is also given to 2 other hotels (Iberostar Dominicana and Iberostar Punta Cana), which was nice but also split the amenities amongst three different locations to make for extra traveling on foot (for example, one hotel had a popcorn machine, while the other had a bigger pool). Hotel rooms were nice (slightly outdated) but very comfortable and always kept clean by the staff. I was slightly disappointed with the entertainment, especially by the pool (which may have been weather-permitting, as it rained for 1 to 2 days on our trip). However, barely any music playing by the pool all day besides during Zumba or water aerobics, and also had no water activities (such as group volleyball in the pool or on the beach) that were setup by the entertainment team. In addition, the shows were fun at night, but ALL of them were interactive with the audience. It would be nice to be able to sit and enjoy a show without the stress of being pulled up on stage for at least one night. Food was delicious, but the speciality restaurants (like Italian and Japanese) required reservation. The reservation could only be made near the front desk, and menus were only available to review on the Iberostar app. It would have been nice to have menus in the room/on the smart TV to view, as well as the ability to make reservations via mobile apps and not just in the lobby. Overall a good time but would probably book elsewhere next time.

"Wonderful stay,gorgeous beach"
I was worried when I read the numerous negative reviews of this resort. I cannot express how wrong they were ! This resort is beautiful and impeccably maintained. Yes there may be a language barrier some times, but management is all fluent in English and always willing to help. Yes wifi can be sketchy, but that should not be part of a rating. This is paradise, you should be using your phone to capture the beauty of your surroundings, not reading tweets! The food was excellent and plentiful. I am sure negative reviewers are not being fair. Yes some food may be bland , but like a cruise ship, they must cater to all tastes. Go to an ala carte (and extremely expensive) resort if you are a food snob. The sushi was awesome as well as local specialties. Our room was always clean and a pleasant tempreture. The pool and beach never overcrowded and we went during the busiest time! Music and entertainment was great and family friendly. The water park was in a different section so relaxation on the beach was a reality! Wonderful place! We will be back!

"Recommend the hotel but..."
I would highly recommend the hotel, we were very comfortable but we were also harrased by the concierge and other staff to meet with sales people at breakfast, and frankly there are other ways of doing this as it does disrupt our vacation even if only to sit with us at the breakfast table. We were playing cat and mouse with the concierge and other people in the hotel, until I have indicated we are not interested and the concierge replied but I am going to lose points...other than that, the food was good. Although you had to make reservations for restaurants. The restaurant called under the sea which supposed to be a seafood restaurant is really bad as they served us old shrimp and lobster which made my wife sick the next day. Other than this, it was pleasurable.

"Great Resort. "
EDWARDO how worked for Travelocity and Blue was GREAT. He went out of his to help me. Because of him i will be back. Only thing i would like to see is a better way to get to the WaterSlide park. After a long day that 15 to 20 min walk with the heat is hard.

"Good, but definitely not a 5-Star Experience"
Disappointing beach and ocean - murky water with lots of seaweed. Service - must constantly have cash and tip to get good service. Oceanfront Reserve room a must - if want to be near everything and feel like you are at the beach. Best part of vacation was full-day excursion to Saona Island--don't miss this opportunity--best $100 ever spent. Men--bring long pants if you want to go to a la carte restaurants. Take cream sunscreen with you--very expensive at hotels. Lots of people had Yeti and Tervis type cups with them--bc hotel offers small paper cups otherwise. Duty-Free shops at airport had the best prices for alcohol, cigars, and coffee. Bana restaurant for teppanyaki was great! Rare was horrible. Blue Agave and Olio were ok. Cabana/ concierge level service at beach was nil. Only came by once to ask if we needed anything--and we had just returned from getting our own drinks at the beach bar. Must be because even after spending almost a $1000 a night on a vacation--we still didn't tip enough. Frustrating. Who wants to carry cash everywhere--especially at the beach and pool? And, shouldn't good service be rewarded with good tips--not the reverse? Seems like they operate on you have to buy good service--even at the concierge Reserve level. Airport transfers and excursions through Travelocity/ Expedia were great. Bring $10 cash per person to pay immigration fees upon entry-- airfare included the $20 per person fee to leave--wish that would have been clear when booking.
