Staying at the Riu replublica was not a deception, because I did my research and every single review was bad! Rooms are very dirty, and food is very limited.Personal had a bad mood and attitude every single day.The customers… well it's not the best. My recommendation is not to go .Pays little more a get a best option

We changed rooms 3 times and they all had leaks, mold and where in bad condition. All but one of the specialty dinning were buffet style and the property and rooms had a bad smell of sewage.

We have stayed at various RIU properties and Punta Cana was below standards. AC did not work, maintenance did not come. The shower leaked, the towel holder broken, limited towels in the room. The grounds were not sprayed, covered with bug bites. Food was average.

Beautiful resort. Our bedroom view was absolutelt stunning! Right in front of the pool where you could see palms both pools from an angle and the beach! Slip and slide was a blast, highly recommend! Staff was present but wasn’t super interactive (only to notify when it’s clear to go or not) which was a perfect for us since they few time we went we had it all to ourselves! Highly recommends wearing shoes to the slide since it does get hot.Our room air conditioning did not work, we complained twice daily, each time given the response maintenance will check on it and nothing ever changed. So hot we hated being in the room, unable to enjoy drinks in room, sweating each time we came out of the shower (hot and hot showers). We also did not get door handles to notify staff to clean rooms. There was no tv guide options or option to utilize tv apps (which we wouldn’t do anyway because it was too hot in the room). The food was meh, we ate at the Dominican restaurant the first night, which they served you at the food was unenjoyable, each night after dinner at a restaurant (Italian, Japanese) we had to go to the buffet to try and munch on something till the morning. The steakhouse was the only meal we ever finished and we had to make reservation reservations the day of when they opened at 6 PM. The meal was filling, but our stomachs were upset the next morning. We finally were moved the last night of our stay to an air conditioned room, more space, and ventilation in the bathrooms.

The pools were warm, which was good for swimming, but they were not cleaned daily. A lot of floating stuff. The staff were very friendly and helpful I don’t know for anyone else, but my room was poorly maintained. A constant leak with the mirror was from the upstairs shower my toilet, barely flushed. It was a good experience with my friends, but the hotel overall was poorly maintained.

I stayed in room 3203, Horrible, cockaroaches in the food at the sports bar, they didnt clean the sheets in the room as i asked after i was there 5days, employees confessed the cameras dont work, front desk was super rude, AC didnt work and wasnt fixed after 4 requests to fix it Will not recommend for anyone nor would i come back.
