Staff needs more training in customer services they do not pay attention to the guest needs, usually you had to address needs so they can get you coffee, drink or simple utensils. If you said something they will argue with you. It was a long week of stress.

Staying at the Riu replublica was not a deception, because I did my research and every single review was bad! Rooms are very dirty, and food is very limited.Personal had a bad mood and attitude every single day.The customers… well it's not the best. My recommendation is not to go .Pays little more a get a best option

The rooms have undergone superficial cleaning, but the underlying issues persist. Sewer odors and moldy air conditioning problems are evident. Additionally, cockroaches have been discovered in the coffee maker. I can provide the video evidence. The buffet was characterized by excessive portions, limited beef options, and a staff that was predominantly rude and overwhelmed.

Some staff were amazing, but most staff were incredibly rude... Always at the front desk. Coackroach and bedbug infested rooms.... Payed to live in the slumps for ten days.

As many other reviews have said the food for the buffets is pretty mid-bad. The sit down order off a menu are much much better. Jerk chicken was amazing. The beach was excellent in my opinion. Plenty of pools and there is a “party side” and a “quiet side” depending on what your vibe is. The rooms were the worst part. Went with a group of five and 3 of our rooms the a/c couldnt be adjusted and on hot days it was muy calinte. My ceiling randomly started leaking water. The sheets are for the most part gross. Mold and mildew all over. The service staff are absolutely top notch. They brought the party and were absolutely amazing. The housekeeps did as good as they could. The only other thing was there was a medical emergency and it took the on site medical staff like 30-40 minutes to get there. Go here if you wanna drink and swim. The property is also well manicured. Make sure to bring USD its a pain to exchange or get the local currency.

I liked that the staff were nice and patient since we are not very well with spanish. Everyone was friendly and I appreciate that. The cleanliness of the room was top tier. However, I didn’t like the constant smell of mildew/sewage in the hallways, elevator, store, and even the buffet. The towel guys at the pool could’ve been more on top with making sure towels were available. Other than that the pool/beach was a vibe!! the Jerk chicken hut was also the best food there
