The grounds and common areas are very beautiful and well kept. The rooms are nice and clean but have some age. We were with 2 other couples (3 rooms) and all of our showers leaked. We also had problems getting towels and especially wash cloths. We only got wash cloths on 2 of the 8 days we stayed here. Something so simple can really make a big impact. We felt bad for the maids as it's hard to do a job without bring given the materials to do it. Two of 3 TV's didn't work by remote (not batteries) so you had to press a button 100 times to get to a channel. Food got old fairly quickly, not enough simple choices for an upset stomach, etc. The French specialty restaurant was excellent, Japanese-gross, and the Italian actually forgot about our order and we waited an hour between salad and entrée. Staff friendly through out with the exception of female bartending staff. They just seemed to have a chip on their shoulders and could be quite snippy. We tipped with every drink order so this is surprising. All in all it was still a good vacation and nice property with a few kinks.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful beach, great food at restaurants and buffet, nice pools,clean facilities made our trip unforgettable. I highly recommend this place. Beach was clean and no seaweed during our stay. Book ur excursions and shuttle service through the Expedia/Travelocity Rep onsite, Very knowledgeable about where to go and offer suggestions. We stayed in Superior ocean front room, great views. Bed was firm and comfortable to my liking. Maids cleaned room daily. Only complaint is the cost per person for WiFi. Pleasantly suprised with our entire experience. We enjoyed the Michael Jackson impersonator. Catch his show if you like the classic songs.

I have never given a bad review, and decided to wait before giving this one, but if you are looking to go to the Dominican, please look elsewhere. The staff was just nasty and unhelpful. Whenever you walked in a store or went to eat, the staff would actually roll their eyes and seem annoyed we were there. It kind of seemed like they did not like Americans.....Honestly, we were nothing but nice and friendly until the last couple days....at that point we were just fed up, The pools close very early, 7PM I think, and there is NOTHING to do on location after that. Could not get reservations to any of the restaurants on site, only super early dinners, which would cut into pool time. This place actually made me NEVER want to go back to the Dominican Republic

Where do I even begin? I booked this to get away from the stress of daily life. It was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. We had to switch rooms 4 times due to smell, filth, broken necessities such as the SINK, the TOILET, the AIR CONDITIONING. Other things things that were broken in the room were the television, the refrigerator and the safe. There was an infestation of ants in one of our rooms. The balcony had a table with no chairs, we called and were told that they would send someone right up. We never got any chairs. Had to pack and unpack 3 different times. And wait for repair men, which took up most of the morning. We were not able to book any early morning excursions, or be at the pool before 1pm. They charge you $7 a day for WiFi which does not work, so don't bother. If you don't make a reservation for one of the restaurants before 11am, you're left having to go to the buffet which is barely even edible. Bring your own sunscreen because they charge you $35 for your standard spray can of Australian Gold. The only thing that got us through those 5 days was the pool bar and that some of the staff was very pleasant. They never once offered us anything for our troubles. Choose a different location. Not worth the stress or money.

We got a great deal in october. Just over 600 pp for 4 night with airfare. The four seasons it was not but worth the deal we got.

The property was beautiful. The pool area, common area's and the beach were stunning. The rooms, unfortunately - or at least ours #4006 - was dated at best. The bath room shower head did not work very well. Our door lock just fell off after a few easy closings. Security was there in an adequate time to fix it but none the less. We dined in the Dominican Republic, French and Italian specialty restaurants. The food in the French and Italian were very good. The Dominican Republic, not so good. The buffet, both Breakfast and Dinner were terrible, and I'm being kind. The wait staff were excellent but that was it. The entertainment around the pool was very good. The nighttime entertainment at their main stage was lacking. I attended the "Disco" show last Monday - July 30, 2018 - and left about 5 songs into their show. Overall, this was one of the more beautiful resorts - from a property, pool and beach setting. The staff are friendly and hard workers. But the rooms need a major update since they looked nothing like the pictures on their website; they need a major update on the quality of food - breakfast and dinner - and the entertainment needs a lift as well. I love Punta Cana and have stayed at the RUI and the Iberostar on prior trips. I've also traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, etc. and my comparisons are based on other all inclusive properties in a beach setting. I'm sorry but I would not stay here again. Thanks.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Buffet food was... well lets just say it was buffet food. The staff was terrible when it came to accommodations. I mean you waited forever for water, utensils. By the time they came around your food was already cold. At the bar if u didn’t tip they would NOT acknowledge you. They would tell you things like we will open in five minutes for COFFEE!! I’ve been to PUNTA Cana twice and i get that everyone is out to make a buck, Earn it with excellent service. Overall i said it before and will say it again. Mexico beats this place ten folds.
