Due to weather event my family missed a connecting flight to Punta Cana. I was very disappointed on how this had such negative impact on the whole trip. The flight, car service and resort accommodations all impacted. The resort showed very little flexibility and empathy. A lot of money was spent and additional costs took us way over budget. The staff and facilities were great. Everything else was terrible.

check in was the absolute worst! Waited almost 45 minutes for the check in!!!! The room smell old and musky.. same food serve everyday. And restaurant reservations was awful! Theres only 1 restaurant we wanted to try was the Japanese hibachi, and the earliest time they gave us was 1030pm ( what 7 and 8 year old eats at that late in the day???!!) and pirate ship water park os additional cost??!!!

The property is beautiful BUT the buffet food was not good, flies around, reservations for dinner must be done or you get nasty attitudes from hostess especially at Kyoto. Additionally don’t get sick because they send you on the ambulance to a private clinic not a hospital and charge almost 2,000 without medications. Your chance of stomach virus is very high too.

I was robbed in my room for over $100. The perpetrator came in my room while I slept and stole money from off the dresser in my junior suite. This was an inside job from employees at the 24 hour Strikers bar. I caught employees roaming from the Strikers Sports Bar where the junior suites are around 1am every night. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. There is a theft ring at this hotel. This is not a 5 star hotel. Saw bedbugs in my room. Roaches at 24hour Sport bar. Food was bland not worth almost $2000. Waiter and servers act like you have to tip. I am going to see if I contact the US Embassy in DR about busting this robbery ring at this hotel. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Overall our stay at Barcelo Bavaro was amazing. We have enjoyed all the activities, food and atmosphere, all was quiet and relaxing . The theater performing was ok, will need some type of improvement so doesn’t look to repetitive. We love to come back sometime in the near future.

Celebración de cumpleaños de 4 días , fue increíble, mi grupo de 22 personas la pasamos muy bien , todos quedaron encantados con las atenciones prestados por todos los empleados del resort, y la limpieza , la comodidades de las habitaciones familiar, el parque de agua aunque no muy grande, pero nos divertimos muchísimo y la comida excelente, bueno en general todos,fueron unos dias maravilloso , un gran reconocimiento a las chicas del chekin y a las chicas del restaurante Buffett muy amable y al supervisor y las chicas del restaurant Santa Fe , nos prepararon un ambiente perfecto para la cena del cumpleaños de mi hija, no recuerdo su nombre , pero la cena fue el viernes 26 de septiembre, este fue mi segundo viaje a celebrar en familia y espero volver pronto si Dios lo permite.
