Amazing Staff! Beautiful!

It was incredible. Love the atmosphere! The Staff was fun! The hotel was beautiful and everyone made sure that our experience was memorable and it will be.

The name does not match the place.

Landscaping is very beautiful. Rooms, food and staff needs improvement. Beach is very rough. It always has a red flag on display. You can hardly go into the water. Speaking to the lifeguard, he said that the beach is this way almost all year around. If you don't care about the food and the ocean, then this is the place for you. In my opinion this place is not worth the money.

Total Relaxation

Staff was friendliest I have ever seen. Food and Drinks were top shelf. Grounds and Hotel were extremely clean. Was an "EXCELENTE" experience.

Wonderful Vacation

Pros: Great staff, wonderful service, and excellent food. I loved the adults only aspect..

Location: Too many to mention
This resort exceeds the brochures and advertisements. They pay attention to every detail and make your stay a pure delight. My only criticism is that this all inclusive should have paid for transport to and from the airport. This $140.00 was not anticipated and was a unexpected expense.

Nice grounds and on the beach

Pros: We enjoyed the entertainment, food, pools an beach
Cons: The bed seemed to be made of concrete, the restaurant staff could be friendlier and more helpful.
Location: The hotel is about 45 minute drive out into no where. We scheduled a trip but we had trouble getting Blue to responde and found out it was hours away
The hotel grounds, pool and food were excellent. The pools we nice and if you got there early you could get a seat. The beach was great, pleanty of chairs and helpful staff. There was WiFi but we could not get it our room, had to go out onto the balcony. Once you did get internet, it was as slow as dial up. The entertainment was great. The restaurants had great food but the staff was unattentive except the French and Mexican restaurants. Breakfast we would wait 10 to 20 minutes for coffee and water. The rooms we good size but needed updating and a real good cleaning. The shower had mold. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. We enjoyed the food, beach and entertainment but will go back to Cancun next year.

Excellence Punta Cana

Pros: Restaurants/Bars Service
Cons: Hotel Rooms and buildings could use a face lift.
Location: Stayed at the resort, never left.
This resort has beautiful grounds. Restaurants are above average especially the French. Rooms are a bit dated, bathroom is very small, and lighting is poor in bathroom area. Beds were very comfortable, better then home! Wish the pool bar was located in a sunny area. Service was very good.

STAY AT THE POOL OR ON THE BEACH

Pros: Price, location, grounds, beach, pool, bars, no kids
Cons: Aggressive tip hustling, hours-long wait for dinner at restaurants, housekeeping needs better supervision, ditto minibar
Location: Grounds are beautiful; not ONE mosquito (they spray nightly); we did not leave the resort so can't report on that.
TIP 1: LEARN SPANISH. Don't believe any review that tells you otherwise. Nobody's English is very good. TIP 2: BE PREPARED TO RELINQUISH YOUR TECHNOLOGY. A thunderstorm killed the wifi on our 3rd day and it never came back. TIP 3: SPEND YOUR TIME AT THE POOL AND BEACH. The minibar was never restocked except for the water, housekeeping kept taking towels and washcloths away, restaurants are just OK and room service is pretty bad. The beaches and pools, however, are glorious and pristine, and the service at all of the bars is jovial and polite. The drinks are fresh and strong. TIP 4: BE PREPARED TO TIP GENEROUSLY AND OFTEN, AND TO DEAL WITH ATTEMPTED HORNSWOGGLING. We were bullied into accepting extras we didn't want by a couple of very aggressive employees. I literally ended up hiding in the room all day the last day just to avoid them. Other than that, we were happy to tip generously for things we'd actually asked for. TIP 5: BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE IN A DIFFERENT CULTURE WITH DIFFERENT SOCIETAL RULES AND GENDER ROLES. The male employees were uniformly friendly and polite; the only issues we had with anyone came from women and were directed at me, not my husband. Other countries just have different rules and roles.TIP 6: "LUXURY" IS A RELATIVE TERM. This seems to be a destination for Americans who've never left their home towns, or maybe been on a cruise. They were loving it, but we will choose differently next time.
