We love excellence in punta cana. However, because the hotel was being renovated the buffet was only open for breakfast and the dining options were sub par. Many of the dining places left you feeling less than satisfied. The only restaurant i enjoyed was Spice and becausee you had to reserve i was only able to eat there once at 9:45! Besides that hotel was clean, setvice was great - staff is very attentive. Room was immaculate. Bed was comfortable pillows not so much. Pool was clean. Beach was wonderful.

The resort is very nice. 45 mins from the airport. The food is good not great. The entertainment staff were amazing. Butterfly and Blade made our stay feel very welcome and happy.

Highly recommend Excellence at Punta Cana. My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary. Four nights. The staff is very accommodating, the food was good, the pools/beach were excellent. Did a great job of cleaning up the seaweed on a daily basis. Zero complaints. Would definitely return.

Our trip had its ups and downs. We encountered a bit of racial tension at one of the restaurants and we felt somewhat overlooke and handled poorly which was very disappointing. Additionally, I didn’t receive the level of service promised by Expedia, despite mentioning our anniversary multiple times and also VIP service. However, I appreciated that the service manager made every efforts in the last couple of days to make up for these issues. We we were offered free massages and got to eat at one of their club membership restaurants. The beach was not quite what I expected—the water was rough and there was a lot of seaweed, which was quite the opposite from earlier reviews. Despite these setbacks, the overall stay was peaceful and quiet, but I think I may consider returning but I have had better experiences at other resorts in Punta.

This is the fourth excellence we have stayed at. They are all wonderful, extremely immaculate and all the people are so helpful and friendly. But brush up on your Spanish not many speak English except at the front desk and various other places. Some of the restaurants weren’t to our liking-but our favorite was Oregano and the French one. Truthfully, the shows at night left something to be desired, except for the acrobats. We woulds definitely stay in the other places that we haven’t been at because we enjoy it so much.
The hotel is surrounded by a winding pool. It’s a beautiful place to relax and swim.

Overall, my experience was beautiful and enjoyable. However, I was disappointed on my first night when I got into bed and discovered sand in the sheets, leading me to believe that the sheets may not have been changed. The room cleaning seemed inadequate, as there was also sand in the closet designated for dirty dishes. I called the front desk, and they promptly rectified the situation. Despite this issue, I had a wonderful time at the resort and would recommend it to others seeking a tranquil getaway for couples.

We loved it. The service, the people, the food, the resort, the entertainment, the cleanliness. Everything was top notch. We had a wonderful experience. If you are coming to this resort- a couple of things to know: 1. Men- bring long pants. Some of the restaurants onsite require it to eat there. 2. If you are hungry- stay away from the Sports Bar- not good eats. 3. Bring cash. Any vendor can charge any tax they want, and the atms charge a huge amount to get your cash out. Other than that it was awesome!

The property was gorgeous! The rooms were clean and comfortable. I liked the tropical vibe- trees and plants and water everywhere! It was awesome to be able to lay my the pool or lay by the ocean! The buffet had a huge selection and the food was good. Getting in and out of the restaurants was good. I did not like that i had to use my phone/ app for the menu. Its took away from the no phone vacation part. Everyone was friendly, however very hard to understand- they all spoke spanish. I had asked the front desk for a reservation amd they said they had it. But when i came back the other person at the front desk couldnt find it. That was frustrating. Also when i went to ask a question at another restaurant (wjat is the latest reservation they take) the person needed to use the ipad translator. I would definitely recommend this resort, but learn some Spanish.

Beautiful pool very clean. The food options were good. The beach is not really swimmable It’s dangerous rip currents/waves red flag so just know that if you’re someone who likes to swim in the ocean past your knees, this probably wouldn’t be the place but it’s gorgeous to sit in a chase lounge on the beach and have unlimited drinks The night entertainment was fun too. overall it was a great experience. I would definitely come back.
