This is a fairly newer respect that is just beautiful. The beach was serene, the food was great but the staff!! Amazing people. Charlie did a great job setting us up with drink on the beach. Minerva and Ivanelsea were just such friendly faces to see daily at breakfast and dinner! The spa was simply the most serene I have felt in a long time and we loved the couples massage! The Excellence Club is the at to go. The food and drinks were so worth it! We will be back!

The room was amazing, house keeping was good. Turndown Service only happened maybe 2 times even though i requested it 2 times. Special People: Carmen the Club Bar warm, friendly and welcoming, Luis Fernando-Basmati (you should use him to train wait staff, his service techniques are 5 Star) Hanser - kitchen table made my mornings very special. He did that for everyone not just us. Not so pleased with the temperature of the food in the restaurants all the sides were lukewarm or cold. The flavour of the food was good. Many options to choose from. The whole resort is beautiful maintained. Would recommend doing the Excellance Club. Would definitely recommend this resort and will hopefully be able to return again very soon!

The swim up junior suite was fantastic. All of the meals that we had were top quality and delicious. I can’t say enough about the staff , they were outstanding !

Our stay at Excellence El Carmen was nothing short of phenomenal. The resort itself is stunning—modern, elegant, and immaculately maintained. The main pool was beautiful and abundant, and the beachfront is pristine with soft sand and clear water. The daily restocked mini-bar and excellent housekeeping were a great touch. The dining options were truly impressive. My wife and i spent 10 days at Excellence El Carmen in Sept. It was our second stay at resort. We both spent our honeymoon here a year ago.the room, the staff, the food, and the property were second to none. Cant wait to return for the third time.

Our stay here was a complete nightmare. While the staff were friendly on arrival, everything went downhill fast. The food was awful from the start — cheap meats, everything deep-fried, and questionable quality that left us both concerned. After a few days, my partner became violently ill with food poisoning so severe he was bedridden for three days and needed hospital treatment. I’d already raised concerns that some of the food tasted off, but nothing was taken seriously. When I tried to get him some plain bread from the buffet, I was told off and told food could only be ordered through room service — which only offered greasy fast food completely unsuitable for someone unwell. When we finally ordered bread, it arrived stale and inedible. A replacement was sent, and it was just as bad. Despite management knowing he’d been hospitalised, not one manager checked in on us or offered proper support. We were completely abandoned. To make matters worse, hygiene around the pool was terrible — guests smoked cigars and ate in the water while staff ignored it. This hotel has no standards and no care for guest wellbeing. If you value your health, avoid it at all costs. We wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
